Wednesday SUCCESS! Feels like a real success because I was hungry at times (maybe should have eaten more at lunchtime) but I didn't crack! AND I watched 'Great British Bake off' in the evening without eating!! Breakfast : Porridge with milk, raisins, spoonful of peanut butter and unsweetened cocoa,...

Hi Linda - no, I didn't make them from scratch!! I just added the ham and cheese  And, i think you are right about just saying 'no thank you' or saving some for later... Last night I did end up having some of the dessert. But the portion of main I was served was pretty small (!!) so i at least ...

Breakfast : Large bowl of Fruit & Fibre with milk Seemed probably too large, but i was hungry by lunchtime so maybe that's ok! Didn't eat the cake that was on offer with friends this morning. When I told them I had recently given up snacking there was an audible gasp! Lunch : Carrot and lenti...

Thanks all... Yes, I think the danger is to feel so disheartened by an S day that it ruins the rest. I tried to simply observe myself more this last weekend and think 'well, that's interesting' It was definitely noticeable to me that permasnacking really reduced the pleasure of eating... So, ...

Hey, Bluebell, are you going to do a 'daily check-in'? I've just started one and think it'll help keep me motivated towards the end of the week when I am tempted to cave! :)

Thanks Kaalii!
This is a very motivating board, so hopefully it'll help me find some consistency.
I am also in Switzerland!

ModBod's daily check-in

OK, I've been reading some other check-ins and found them very inspiring, so think I'd like to try the same... Breakfast: Porridge, with raisins, cinnamon, 1/2 banana, about 6 almonds and 1/2 tsp of honey. I dithered over the honey, was it permissible or not! Next time will prob leave out as it didn...

Reflections on going into Week2

Hello everyone. It feels like I'm conducting a psychological experiment on myself trying to adopt these NoS principles! My reflections as I head into week 2 are: 1. I wasn't wholly successful on the 'no sweets' part, and allowed myself dessert at meal times 3 out of the 5 noS days... it adds up! I f...

Very helpful advice! I'm really benefitting from this thread, too - it's so encouraging to get the long-term perspective.

Fellow Newbie!

Hi Bluebell... I'm new too! I started No S as of last Friday (31 Sept) and it's going pretty well. The no snacking has been wonderful - to not be crazy about food all day, and to then really enjoy proper meals has been a breath of fresh air. I find the 'no sweets' the challenge, and have ended up ha...
