Re: 7 Years of No S Diet - With an integrated 24h Fast

Great job NoSDoc, thank you for sharing your testimonial. It inspires me. I also appreciate the reminder about creating a habit vs being on a diet. I also practice intermittent fasting and it has become a habit for me. After much trial and error I have settled on eating within an 8 hour window most ...

I am also so grateful you started and have kept this forum going for so long Reinhard. Like some others, I don't come here often, but when I do it feels like a visit with a treasured old friend. Same with your book, which I read once or twice a year. I count it as one of the books I will always keep...

Re: Why do I get so depressed on S days?

Hi GabbyGirl 2, I have felt that way on S days too. I have felt really crappy and ready for my N days! Then again, until very recently I still found myself taking the WTH approach that someone else here mentioned. I find it so interesting that in doing what I thought made me feel "free" with food en...

Holy Guacamole, I hadn't realized how long it had been since I last wrote! I wanted to follow up, since it's essentially been a year since committing to No S for 2018. What a year! Wow, how amazing to see a thread that is ten years old! I've been figuring out where alcohol fits into my plan. It's got extra calories I don't need, and it reduces my willpower. Plus, as I get older it just doesn't agree with me so much anymore. It's become a habit that doesn't serve me so well, bu...

Isn't that amazing. I clearly remember in my childhood (in the 70's) that we just didn't snack. I'm sure many of us remember that. And ancient healing traditions, like Ayurveda, distinctly avoid snacking and overeating. It's amazing to look back at old movies and photos and how THIN everyone was. By...

That's about as long as I've stuck to any diet  (though I don't think of NoS as a diet). 3 meals, no snacks, no seconds and no sugar has become fairly easy for me.
