Re: Podcast #62: State of the Systems, 2021, Part 1

Hello Reinhard- Enjoyed listening to Podcast #62! I like the meta-view of the systems, and have gotten a lot out of your recent podcasts, especially the lifelong learner tips. I too am challenged with getting out walking enough, as another work-at-home urban ranger. When I hear the phrase Urban Rang...

Re: Podcast #54: State of the Systems 2020

I am psyched about the latest podcast! Thanks for posting it. I am intrigued about upcoming topics for 2021. Each time I read a media report about the latest fad diet or a quick way to lose weight or get in shape, I think of the benefits of moderation espoused here in Everyday Systems, and in a hare...

Re: Beeonne checking in hopefully daily

Welcome back, Beeonne, I too have neglected both this everyday systems site and my practice of the No S diet for way too long. I like the goal of 21 days of No S in a row, and my goal is to write a reminder in my daily to do list to practice the diet, practice it, and after 21 days building the habi...

Timebox Lord Podcast Dec. 8, 2020

Loved the new podcast!
It's an intriguing idea: timebox not only tasks and also timebox prioritization.
Very Meta!
It challenged my preconceptions when you challenged the conventional wisdom to "Just do it" for tasks that take under two minutes time to accomplish.
It got me thinking: thanks! - MD

Re: Podcast #51: Mantrafication

Hello Reinhard- I very much enjoyed listening to your recent Mantrafication podcast! I plan to apply it to a challenge I am facing with cleaning up clutter, which has really gotten out of hand for me where I live. At the end of the podcast you asked whether there are topics your audience might be in...

Yeah, I can relate to your point about one idea for a task to do, once written down, leads to another, and another, ad infinitum (ad nauseam?). The dilemma is that these ideas all seem important enough, at the time, to be written on the front of the personal punch card, leading to overambition when ...

Thanks for the new podcast episode! I leaned about some systems such as Low Smoking and G-Ray Vision that I did not even know you had -- I realize now that these are detailed in Everyday Systems Lab from this site's Home page, so I looked there today and it led to some interesting reading. Your refl...

Thanks for the latest podcast! Not sure whether this is a factor for other people or just for me, but I experience a symbiosis between "Glass Ceiling"and the No Snacks part of the No S diet. When I have a drink at the end of a long day, I often am tempted to snack on something salty, like peanuts or...

2.5 INCHES

Reinhard - In case you weren't aware: did you know this neat way to draw the line down the very middle of the 3" x 5" index card? 1. Take out two index cards. Line up the bottom-most blue line of the first card with the left or right edge (in landscape orientation) of the second index card. 2. Make ...

When is #45 expected?

Here is a mod/tweak to personal punch cards that I have been using with good results for some time: -instead of no line down the middle of my index cards on weekends, I keep the line on weekends. -on weekdays, the line separates Work and Personal -on weekends, for me (here is what's new) the line se...

Reinhard, Thanks for an update on Personal Punch Cards! I have been following your system for years now, and appreciate your new podcast's emphasis on A) 2 vs. 3 columns, and on B) how you consider a "to-do" on the front of the cards to be a contract with yourself. It strikes me how interrelated A) ...

Post images of some cards?

Hi ! Thanks for the podcast! I like your card system and am interested in seeing an example or two. Have you done this yet: "I'm going to scan and post images of some of my cards on the everydaysystems.com website ..." ?? If so, please let me know where on the site to look. Thanks and keep up the go...
