Re: TRAC77 daily check in

Thanks everyone for the support and welcoming me back! Unfortunately I gave in to surprise gourmet donuts at work today 😔 But! Just Marking it as a red day and moving on. I didn’t tank the whole rest of my day because of it. I did have a dinner out which was a multi plate affair but I tried to not o...

Re: TRAC77 daily check in

Whelp....I went and did it again. Was lured back to weight watchers! I had fallen off of No S- had a stressful and emotional summer, soothed with ice cream and junk food, gained weight, got desperate, and went back to WW. The thing is I could hardly even stick with it for a week before going crazy- ...

Re: Restarting and timing

Very good points from both of you! I grew up in a household of immigrants- I’m a first gen American- and these meal structures were very much part of my upbringing- I have just lost them along the way and followed more “American” eating patterns- and need to reconnect with the way I originally ate.

Re: TRAC77 daily check in

I guess we were referring to different podcasts LOL! Thanks for sharing, I will check that one out. Here’s the one I was thinking of: https://elisemuseles.com/podcast/tonya-leigh-what-french-women-can-teach-us-about-food-and-life/ I love Tonya Leigh and her French approach to food and life. Re: TRAC77 daily check in

April what a small world! That is so cool. I think I may have also listened to that same podcast and I agree she is so calming and puts a really nice perspective on loving life well, which is what this is all about! I read your post and I’m very similar with No S in that the no sweets part was very ...

Re: Restarting and timing

Thanks everyone for the support! April how interesting that you’ve been going through the same thing! It’s nice to not be alone- sometimes it can feel like I’m the only person out there constantly weighing options about what “eating program” is right- when really, why do I feel a pull to “follow a p...

Re: TRAC77 daily check in

So I’ve been bad about checking in daily - aforementioned work travel got me out of my routine for a while- but here’s my update. I joined an online program that basically advocates for 3-4 balanced meals a day but the first part of the program consists of a lot of journaling and stuff that deprogra...

Another S day and I’m stuffed and exhausted after lots of business meals and dinners and drinks for days. Wishing I was going back home but have another 5 full days to go. The real challenge comes in for going back to N days for the remainder of this week until Friday. Still lots more irregular meal...

Re: Restarting and timing

Thanks! Made it through travel day with group dinner in compliance, with some virtual plating, and a little more beer than I’d normally drink, but no sweets. Calling it a success. I have 2 S days coming up for Sunday and Monday so that’s a relief!

Re: TRAC77 daily check in

I was wondering if I should leave it as an S. My concern is that I have two days during the week that I really wanted to designate as S days due to business functions. However I didn’t want to have like 6 S days between now and next Sunday, because I fear that I won’t be appropriately building the N...

Day 6 successful N day B- did some virtual plating and ate in two separate sittings. Size was so small that I could have added it to my plate with my actual bre...

Maggie Mae, thanks so much for your response! I think I’m going to give it a try like you say. It just feels like it’s time. I suppose I can designate S days on my business trip for the nights where there’s a big event or dinner- so I’m going to give that a try! I always gain like 5 pounds on these ...

Restarting and timing

Hi all, I’ve tried No S a handful of times and never really stuck with it- kept bouncing between this and weight watchers with some dabbling in calorie counting and “intuitive eating” - I feel like a crazy person. I’ve been back on ww for a few weeks but the feeling of restriction is frustrating. It...

Switching from WW

I started WW 3 months after having my baby - almost 2 years ago- (my umpteenth time doing ww) and successfully lost 40 pounds....then gained back 10 after some health challenges and medication side effects and, well, losing my zest for the program. I always hated how WW heavily taxes healthy foods l...
