To quote Dr. Hibbert (Simpsons) ... "It even tries to warn you with its horrible taste!" I do agree with Elizabeth though ... people are always going to defend either side of the argument. I've heard bad things about Stevia, even. I like this article though, because it's just one more reason that I ...

Thanks, murphysraven! I haven't been posting here, but I have been continuing to follow No-S. Last week wasn't perfect, but this week I have been sticking to the guidelines without any cheating. I'm really starting to learn that my urges to snack aren't really true hunger, like I thought they were. ...

My lunches are last night's dinner, along with a piece of fruit. It takes a lot of guesswork and thought out of it, and since I usually cook really yummy things for dinner, I wind up having really yummy lunches that are healthier and cheaper than if I went out to get food.

I'm resurrecting this thread as I'm realizing that I'm not getting younger and sticking to a diet isn't getting any easier. I have a problem committing to things, but I *need* to get my diet under control. I think deep down, part of me is thinking that there's no point in sticking to it because it w...

I was traveling all weekend visiting various friends & family so I kind of counted these days as S-Days. I do kind of feel like I could have maintained No-S for at least 2 of the days without much trouble if I had thought things through better. I am going to chalk it up to a lesson for traveling in ...

Day 2: FAILURE I thought about justifying it as an S-Day but I know I'd just be kidding myself. I had seconds @ lunch and sweets 3 times. Not really proud of it, but today is a brand new day. The hardest thing is that I have to bake some scones & cupcakes for a bridal shower tonight, so my plan is ...

Gilli's Daily Check In

Well, I just had my first full successful No-S day today, and I think it's time I start a check-in thread! Day 1: SUCCESS :D I do think I am going to have to learn to eat more slowly and listen to my body. I am very used to having an afternon snack, so while I can handle some tummy grumbles as dinne...

Thank you everyone for your welcomes & your thoughts/suggestions. It's my second day doing No-S and I'm kind of surprised at how easy it was for me to give up my afternoon snack. I get a little hungry, but I'm learning that a little hunger isn't going to kill me. I can wait until dinner. I feel kind...

Hey there. I am a former WW-er too, and I have to say that, while it's a good program if you can stick to it, that such rigid diet plans teach us to be total control freaks, which then lets most of us talk ourselves out of succeeding. I mean, when you have specific numbers to worry about EVERY SINGL...

New & Just Starting

Hi everyone - I thought I'd introduce myself since after some deep thought I have decided to commit to the No S guidelines. I had previously been on Weight Watchers for years and I pretty much yo-yo-ed ... a big part of it was what would be considered "S" days. Dealing with a big holiday dinner, my ...

Juice is ok, but an actual piece of fruit or two has more health benefits (e.g. fiber) and will probably keep you full longer. I used to "have" to have a cup of juice in the morning, so I know where you're coming from. A good way to cut down on the sugar a bit and still get the refreshing juicyness ...
