I'm getting nowhere too. 26 days and not a pound or inch lost. I'm going to kick up the exercise to see if that changes things. The only reason at this point that I am still hanging on is that I promised myself I would give this a year (because of oolala's suggestion) and I know the drastic reductio...

Re: Why did you leave? Why are you back?

My favorite one is the "I need to lose weight" diet. The one where I never actually DO something, but think about needing to do something...sigh. Just because you hit a pothole with your car is no reason to drive it into a tree. LOL!! These two quotes made me laugh the most because they rang so tru...

Thank you everyone that has posted on here. This is so helpful. I am frustrated because I have not lost any weight yet and it's been almost 4 weeks but after reading these stories I refuse to quit. I'm use to losing weight fast so this is taking quite a bit of patience. I now know what an extinction...

Re: First 21-day post

Mostly, though, while I'm looking to lose some, too, I hope to come to peace with food. At this point, while I'm wary, as I've had a long experience, I think Reinhard's advice helps me focus on the how and on moderation/balance. It helps me concentrate on the means, the path, rather than 'results'....

Thanks for responding Linda and MaggieMae. MaggieMae you and me seem to be in similiar situations, we both think about food, we are the same height and I would like to lose about 30 lbs but have not lost any as yet and I am now on day 25  Linda it's nice to know it will eventually fade. Last ni...

Thinking about food too much

I feel that I am always thinking about food. I find that I am always thinking about my next meal. I even look forward to bed time so that I can wake up and have my coffee and eat breakfast. I feel like I'm wishing the hours between meals away and the days between S days away. I don't want to rush my...

Thank You Kittson and Oolala. I have read through a lot of the older posts on this site and it really helps to get advice from people who have already been there. Oolala I am following your advice (which you mentioned on another thread) and trying to go 100% vanilla for 1 year before I even think ab...

21 Days Completed

21 days!!! I did it :-) It won't be official until the end of today but since it's an S day I can safely say that I completed the 21 day challenge. So I will admit I thought for sure the weight would fall off which it didn't. I think I lost about 1 or 2 lbs. My clothes do feel a tiny tiny bit better...

I know right? I think deep down we all know this stuff. I am not a good snacker, once I start I can't stop, so it's better to get rid of the option completely. I made it through my first week so I'm pretty happy about that. I broke my old record of 1 day. :D Better late than never indeed. I'm trying...

The worst part is that I first read about and tried the No S Diet in 2005. I'm on my fourth day, which is a record for me so we will see how the weekend goes since it's Easter Weekend. I already know that one of my S treats this weekend will be a Boston Cream Donut from Tim Hortons (Timmy's). Only a...

Three days in!!

I am on my third day and already I feel like a load has been lifted off my shoulders. I have been counting calories and/or on some kind of diet (or thinking about the next diet) for pretty much my whole life. I've read through a lot of posts on here and I've decided to go 100% vanilla and not modify...
