I'm reading the book right now and I'm at the part where he talks about S days. I love the way he explains bingeing...that it's a reaction to deprivation. Wow. That just says it all to me. In fact, I NEVER binged before I ever started trying to lose weight...and then, of coarse the binges caused me ...

First red day.
I really wish I could say that it was just a little failure but it was a pretty big one. One of the other habits I've been trying to fix is that I used to always go back to bed for a couple of hours after the kids go to school. I've been doing pretty well, but today I wasn't feeling well and decided...

Personally, for me the Habitcal is perfect as is. I either failed or I succeeded period. All or nothing is just easier for me b/c I'll think, "Ok, is this cookie...only this ONE cookie WORTH a red block?" Yes, it sucks to put in that red block...it makes me angry at myself, it's disappointing and a ...

Me too! Me too! Why am I sleeping better?? I used to binge on sweets first thing in the morning convinced I had to have them to function. SO to make up for this I've been cooking breakfast and actually sitting down with the kids and eating with them. Amazingly, the mornings seem to run SOOO much mor...

Yes, thanks! I totally agree with the originial poster. This is sticking and I can hardly believe it!! I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I can't see how I won't lose at least SOME weight pretty early on even though I have only about 15lbs to lose. Every morning I used to practically binge on swe...

Yes, today I was hungry. Yesterday I didn't have much of an appetite b/c I think I had a touch of a stomach bug but today my appetite was back in full force. (Prolly b/c I ate so little today.) When I was pregnant, every time I felt hungry I felt alarmed...it wasn't just that I was hungry...the BABY...

Well, I just started no s on Wednesday but I decided to go ahead and keep my S days anyways this week end. I thought I was really looking forward to it, but today I went back to eating the way I did, say on Tuesday and I don't like it. The sweets I ate this morning (my oreos ya know) left me feeling...

What about wearing pedometers?
I don't think I've seen any posts about wearing pedometers. I think I may start doing this and trying to increase my walking that way at first. Ya know, only taking one bag of groceries in at a time so you'll take more steps, walking around the grocery store a couple of times before leaving, parking...

I've got about 10-15lbs to lose and I am fully aware that it may take me longer. But for me, sweets is a huge issue so I think just cutting those out during the week is bound to do something. My plan is to stick with the basics for 3 weeks...then I'll reevaluate and add in a couple more changes...li...

When I worked nights I was so tired by the time I got home all I could do was collapse into bed. When I woke up, I guess I'd eat what would be called lunch or rather no breakfast foods. Then I'd eat "dinner" with my family before work and then at work, I'd eat another meal. Everyone's different. Alo...

Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm proud to say that I followed some of the advise this morning and instead of craming cookies in my mouth to wake up, I pulled up a chair and ate a bowl of cereal with my kids...and no oreos! So many benefits with one simple change. I got to sit down and eat wi...

Horrible habit! Any suggestions??
When I was younger times were tough and I worked alot of hours. I wasn't getting much sleep and having a difficult time waking up to get going. I've never been a morning person, in fact I swear it takes me 2-3 hours to feel fully awake even after a good nights rest. Anyways, this is when I started e...

Hello! For the last week or so I've been pretty down knowing that warm weather is coming and I won't have the added security of bulky sweaters and coats. I was so excited to read the article in WW about the no s diet and from what I've read it's really just common sense! For most of my life I never ...
