I know in the book it says not to trade S days for N days because then you have given yourself permission to take that option. He says it is better to keep the days as a failure, learn from your mistakes, and move on. I like that. Now, that makes sense. I know my eating will be wierd today and tomo...

Agreed, Agreed and Ditto! The emotional eating, the numerous diets, the failure, the low self-esteem, etc. etc. I've been on Weight Watchers, TOPS, OA, diet pills, calorie counting, carb/protein/fat gram counting, Way Down, First Place, 3D, SlimFast, Radiant Recovery (a program for sugar addiction) ...

I'm using the Habitcal for my NoS eating. Those red marks are harsh! I had a non-successful day today -- having a hard time using that F word to describe how I did.

I'm hoping the habitcal will be a motivator -- too soon to tell since I just started this week.

Today's choices were not good . Hope to do better tomorrow. Actually going to school for a teaching degree. I've been an LPN for 23 years, and feel kind of burned out on nursing. I work week-ends at a local nursing home to have gas and spending money for school. I'll be about 50 when I get my teachi...

Hooray for you, Resting52! I had a red day today. Went to Chinese buffet with my daughter and her 4 kids, then shopping together, then came home and ate all kinds of S things this evening.

I think I may make tomorrow an N day since I already had an S day today.

Hi, I'm a displaced Virginia girl in Missouri. :) Saw your question and thought I'd google it. Google maps had a huge supply of restaurants on the red line. Good to "see you" too Diane. I had my gallbladder removed the week before Christmas and --guess what-- not getting sick everytime I eat has helped me to put on at least 10 lbs. just since the surgery!

I will plan on getting the book after I get paid next week.

Of course I speak of my mental image of myself at that time. I *thought* I was fat at 145-- probably all my dumb dieting as a teenager that wrecked my metabolism and helped me to put on so much weight as an adult. I'm almost 300 lbs. now, and so desperately need SOMETHING to work. This idea (NoS) ap...

I was "really fat" in high school -- 145 lbs. (and 5' 8" tall). I was on a diet most of the time. The craziest one was nothing but apples and diet Dr. Pepper. I lasted a couple of weeks on that one. I felt awful and as soon as I began eating regular food I gained back whatever I had lost.

Day 2 was a total success :D

Today, Day 3, I didn't have a perfect day -- ate a couple of cookies after dinner tonight -- but still ate much less than "Pre-Nos diet" day.

Hi, Diane, I was wondering if that was Diane from Sparkpeople! I have not posted there for awhile. I found myself feeling frustrated because I couldn't keep up with the topics there, and my "all or nothing" mindset just couldn't handle it. Have you read Mr. Engel's book? Hang in there f, it will pass. When I was in the thick of it I was working home health (I'm a nurse) and between home visits I would park someplace out of the way (cemetary was a favortite place) and just sit and cry until I couldn't cry anymore. (Often had dead space between appointments.) Sunshine...

Well how did it go? I was really craving something sweet at supper, so I put a single serving bag of my grandkids fruit snacks on my plate! I think there was like 6 pieces in the bag. Sure was better for me than the leftover birthday cake and ice cream I was eyeing! Day 2 off to a good start! Becky

I'm 47. Had always been very regular, 28 days like clockwork. Then 2 winters ago, I had three months of HEAVY periods, that lasted for almost 2 weeks, with only a week between them -- after that I spotted for 3 months, then no more since June of 2006. I had some emotional stuff -- depression was bad...

deealison, that sounds like a great idea. I tend to get discouraged if the scale doesn't reward me for my work, so weighing BEFORE I do my S days will be a more positive experience until I learn to control myself on S days. Becky's Daily Check In

Monday, April 14 is day 1 for me. I'm a 47 year old woman, 5'8" and about 290 lbs. I'm a full-time student at Missouri State University, and part-time LPN at a local nursing home. I've been over 200 lbs. since I was pregnant with my first child 27 years ago. My goal is to have a 1-2 lbs. weekly loss...
