...I found it so refreshing to read Reinhard's point of view. I heartily and fully agree with your conclusions, BrightAngel! Thanks for posting your questions. The answers you received answered a few of my own quetions I was about to ask -mainly training everyday. I've had it engrained in my brain ...

Thank you! I'm glad I'm doing something right! I love to try new things and experiment, so using a KB for a SG fits the bill. Seasonal allergies are waging war and today's KB workout was a casualty. I'm just too drained to do anything for 14 minutes straight today. But I'll definitely pick it up tom...

My First SG kettlebell workout

Today, following the SG principles, I swung, cleaned, pressed, and snatched my way to 14 minutes with only a few breaks (I had to), ending with TGUs, one each side. I feel the effects of my efforts, yet I still have enough energy left to face the day. The 14 minute principle is d'lovely. So until I ...

WOW!

Noel: that's incredible  Thanks for sharing! I can't even imagine doing that myself when I can barely clean my brother's 25 lb. k-bell one time -trying as hard as I can too!

Re: New to Shovelglove...

Hi all. I'm new to shovelglove. I found out about it through Mistress Krista's website, and fell in love with the "useful movements" and respecting the timer philosophies. I went out and bought a sledgehammer that afternoon. :D I've been telling others all about it, hoping to get some friends into ...

*WINCE* I am so sorry, but chances are very slim that you gained three pounds of muscle in a few weeks. And that many inches of pure muscle? Unlikely. ... I can't (and don't) disagree with you or Krista. In any case, I'm not panicking anymore about the weight or inches. I'm going to continue with t...

I'm curious as to where you've gained inches and by how much. Muscle is, indeed, denser by weight than fat so most people will lose inches. However, if you only have ten pounds to lose (and is that much how YOU really need to lose?), then you could easily gain inches. I gained the 10 pounds before ...

And by the way, shugging is most certainly in my fitness repertoire. I don't do it every day or even every week, but I have a shovelglove by my bed for days when I just cannot face the gym for some reason and my dumbbells don't look attractive to me. ...I set my iPod on sleep timer to shut off afte...

A great UR article

This is an article I stumbled across on the internet. In some respects, it's nothing new. McDougall is just telling us something we already know is true :D Walk on! http://www.menshealth.com/cda/article.do?site=MensHealth&channel=guy.wisdom&category=life.lessons&conitem=f9919fcce91d4110VgnVCM1000001...

Touche , Noel! A couple of olympic weightlifters have this philosphy that whatever exercise you do should give you a happy body. Like you, I find this very true. Truly, exercise is not about fat loss, it's about purpose. I discovered a couple of years ago that I won't even go for a walk unless ther...

Is SG alone enough to burn fat without extra cardio?

Okay, I'm a very new shugger - I have to go to the hardware store today to purchase my sledgehammer, LOL :) I already use kettlebells, but I'm looking to add something new and fun to my routine. But my question is this: is daily shugging enough on it's own to burn fat without any additional cardio i...

Bummer!

Bummer, I missed getting that issue!! Anyone care to scan a copy of the article and post it or PM it to me? I'd love to read it. I'm a lurker, so hello for the first time! But I've been following the No S principle for a few months, especially No Sugar. (Okay, I spent all of last month eating sugar ...
