Another "professional dieter"

Hi Paddylu, Thanks for tickerfactory.com reference. It sure adds something to your posts and is a good visual. I have signed up for one too and since I am a slow loser I chose the snail. Probably being a senior citizen does not help  I have just returned from a trip to NM to visit my daughter w...

How Cute

HI Blue, I just checked your blog and saw your new babies. They are adorable!! I know you will have lots of fun and much love with your new kittens. We have always thought that male kitties were more affectionate and people oriented than the females -- at least that has been our experience and is th...

Thanks Blue. Your words eased my worries about our 3 - litter mates Chip, Piper and Pancho. Even though they are now 15 they seem to be just fine. We can tell they have slowed down a little and sleep more but no other problems are evident. It is time for their annual checkups though so hope nothing ...

Vacation's almost over

We left on August 28th and drove from southern California to Sedona where we spent two nights and then went on to the Santa Fe, NM area. Visiting our daughter here in NM and doing lots of horse things, taking lots of pictures and not following NoS very closely. After repeating the drive I hope I am ...

How about at PINK day

What do you think about adding a PINK day to the habit cal for the days when you have a teeny tiny snack so that it is just a little bit RED ? I have a hard time sometimes when dinner is so late due to my hubby coming home late and I will have a small snack to hold me over until he comes home....

I like it

Hi Mel,
I finally rounded up the ingredients to make your oat cakes and had one this morning. It was YUMMY and very filling. :) As Mikey would say, "I like it." It will be a favorite on my breakfast menus.
Thanks for the idea and the recipe :D

It's been almost a week since I posted and so far I have maintained my 1# loss from the first week. So far I have not had any day that I would call a FAILURE but think I am putting too much on my plates and also the meals are not well balanced. I was raised to be a member of the clean plate club -- ...

Hi Blue, Thanks for replying to my post (I think that is what you call it). I am new to posting and don't really know the correct vocabulary. I have read your "posts" and also looked at your blog. You are so committed :) I am also new to No S and this past week (week 2) feel that I have failed. I ha...

Hi Mel, I've read your posts and have decided that you must like to cook because your meals sound so interesting. I plan to try your "oat cakes" tomorrow. I'm getting tired of my usual toast, fruit, and an egg for breakfast. I think I, like you, fill my plates too full and plan to leave some empty s...

Success with HabitCal

I cannot believe it. For the past 11 days, since I started on NoS I have been trying to use HabitCal with no success. I changed some computer settings to no avail and yesterday changed them some more. So today I was just "messing around" on HabitCal and lo and behold a window appeared that said som...

Tomorrow will be one week on NoS

I started the NOS diet Friday, August 1, 2008 and tomorrow will be one week. It has been very easy so far and I am hoping for a loss tomorrow. My menus have been pretty much the same on regular days and the two S days I've had so far. My only exception on S days was maybe a small piece of chocolate ...

Day 2 and going well

Today is my first "S" day and so far so good. I have eaten pretty much like a regular day except I did have chocolate syrup in the milk I had for my snack. Dinner will be soon and we will have grilled chicken thighs, asparagus and rice. I will probably splurge with a piece of chocolate for dessert t...

Laguna's daily check in

August 1, 2008 was my first NoS day and was a success. I have always had trouble with snacking between about 4 PM and dinner time because I get very tired feeling and think if I eat something I will feel better. So the No to the Snacking S made the NoS diet sound like it was right up my alley! On Da...

One day down

I started the No-S diet today and so far so good. I have always had trouble with snacking from about 4PM until dinner so it was a challenge to not do so today but I had a bigger than usual lunch and seemed to do OK. I thought beginning on a Friday was a good time to start because I have two S days c...
