Re: Lisa's Back at it--A new Start!

Thank you, Amy and Win! I didn't change anything last week and am now up to 156 this morning. I mean, it makes sense if I refuse to change, then I won't lose. I need to adapt my long-term healthier habits that I used to stick to. I am back this week, and hope that my willpower (which I used t...

Lisa's Back at it--A new Start!

Hi all, I started NO-Sing in 2006, and slowly lost 30 pounds, from 153, down to 123. I maintained that weight until 2018 when I started to slowly gain some, but honestly, it was okay--because I was still in the healthy weight range. The pandemic changed the way I eat, and I stopped No-Sing. Suddenly...

No S'ing since 2006

Hello, I posted a short update on the regular board, but then thought it might be better to just post here instead. I started the No S diet in 2006. You can actually find my posts from way back then. Here were my stats in 2006: height: 5'5 weight: 150 I had a long history of being a chubby kid, foll...

I think you may be setting yourself up to fail if you make big promises to yourself like "no more sugar". There is nothing in sugar that should be making you sick--but you do need to keep the serving size in check. If you are cutting out all sugar, then you would never have chocolate again  ....

Well, it is so nice to meet you, Dru. We have probably passed each other before in real life! I use to also spend lots of time at Stonestown, especially after I had my first chid in 1994. My best friend in the city still lives in St. Francis Wood--her husband is a dentist and they live on Santa Ana....

I think I was looking for a diet book on amazon, and I saw a link to this--and much like Deb--I loved it.

Okay--I do like mustard on a hot dog! Poor mustard--it is much maligned in the world of condiments. Mayo gets all the glory, while mustard is left in the dust in all it's golden glory.

Wow, you lived in the haight too! That is so cool. For 2 years I lived on Haight (near Ashbury), but later I lived in the lower Haight too! I use to live on Webster near Haight. This was back in the 80's and early 90's. I went to San Fransico State, and later to USF to get my teaching credential. I ...

I liked your input, Carolejo! Please don't worry about that. That is the kind of support I need. I want you to always feel free to give your opinion, because that is helpful to me. I actually did take a baby step away from the diet train by eating the cheese. I was still hungry after my sandwich and...

Thank you all--all of this info is great. I had nice turkey sandwich in half of a pita with lots vegies and a smidge of mayo. I am trying to eat more dairy products, so I had one slice of cheese, too. All that and an apple made for a great, healthy lunch--and now I don't need to worry about messing ...

Dumb it down for me a bit----(N days)

I know this question probably gets pretty tiresome, but indulge me if you please. What does your diet look like on N days. I sort of have two speeds--either I am eating like feast day in Caligula, or I am dining on egg whites and spinach. I need to find a happy medium here. To me, eating a whole san...

New here and a tad chubby

 Here's my story in a nutshell. Feel free to just skim it. I went on my first diet at age 10--it was the Atkins diet--that was back in the 70's when it was popular the first time around. I was a chubby kid--and spent many years being teased for it. My favorite past times back then included eat...
