When I first started No S, my meals didn’t actually change that much because I had already made a lot of changes to my meals over the years. Re: FAO: Reinhard / Oolala

IMHO, health conditions are good reasons for diets, or food restrictions. No S is not meant to treat health conditions, though some may use it that way. Tradtional eating patterns often prevented problems developing, but there is no data to prove that they cure them, though I'm sure it happens. I've...

remember the food addiction behavior list?

I don't remember exactly where it was- on a general thread or an individual check in- but somewhere a member, a guy, listed behaviors characteristic of having a food addiction. He realized that these described some of his behaviors, and they were things his girlfriend never did. He decided that to n...

I actually posted this without the shave add back in February. Reminds me of the meme that shows a woman taking a selfie of her thin body and saying that she went low carb or Paleo or something, lost 20 lbs. and all her friends.

Doing my quarterly "tuneup," I'll call it. Takes 5 days. Usually, it's relatively easy until day 4. It actually started a little hard! I had had a big dinner the night before, and paradoxically got hungry way earlier than normal. Today, it was so hard midday that I wondered if I was going to be able...

I realized I had not reported on my March experiment not eating wheat or sugar. I did it because I still feel so drawn by those foods, drawn into overdoing them. It can be hard to face just how little we actually need. But a life of eating only exactly what we need can be hard to face. It seems there are only two overall approaches these days: less food or fewer hours eating. Or both.
