Thanks for the support, Kat! Yes, it is amazing when I think about how many bites of food I would normally mindlessly eat during the day - at my desk, in the truck, standing in the open refrigerator.... It really solves the mystery of how I gained all this extra weight! :)

OMG - I'm actually leaving food on my plate! I find when I eat slowly that I get bored before I can finish all my food (most of the time, anyway). So strange, but I'll take it.

I eat roasted veggies and potatoes year round. Pretty much I eat the same foods during all seasons.

The only "holiday favorite" I have is a Cadbury Egg, but that's in the spring - and I've always pretty much NoS'd that - more than one makes me sick.

I agree - I count granola bars as a sweet. My husband used to get the Fiber One Bars with the chocolate chips, and they tasted as sweet as a candy bar to me. He stopped buying them when he started NoSing.

I have always wondered when I read these studies if it is the smell or the chemical reaction. I've never had any sense of smell, so I have no clue what peppermint smells like. I do like peppermint tea, however, due to the taste.
