Sleep!!!

Most likely, what's happening is your body/ immune system breaks down a bit when you change your routine/lifestyle. Make sure you are eating right, tons of fluids, and most importantly...rest. Your body will adjust and you'll be right as rain in no time. If it persists, go see your doctor. FYI: My a...

canoe paddling

yikes  I read the theme-based sg workout and added the paddling movement to my routine. Awesmome. Toughest move yet with my 16lber. I do it standing and not on my knees, but the motion really hits a lot of spots: total arm, shoulder, back, etc.... I think it has surpassed the fire(fighter) as...

cheap wine

The link that Reinhard offers is great. Many, many wonderful and inexpensive wines come from Spain. My favorite is from the region Castilla La Mancha (La Ruta de Don Quixote) from a small vineyard town called Valdepenas (can't type the squiggle over the n). Presently, Whole Foods (only a Chicago-are...

Phenomenal. A fantastic device to encourage moderation. Great work Mr. Reinhard. My "trick": Often when I attend weddings, reunions, or any other settings where my high school and college buddies expect me to drink like I was 18, I have a special drink: vodka and soda water with a lime. After two of...

This may be better suited to the daily log section, but I'd just thought I'd throw out how badly I "no-S'd" it this weekend. In fact, I was full of S. Birthday parties, family brunch, not to mention the closing of the famous Berghoff restaurant in Chicago (issued liquor license no. 1), pizza, homema...

I just re-read the No S Diet Home site, and discovered my transgression. It's not about recipes... "So use your normal cookbook. It's No S Diet approved. Recipes do make great filler, however, which I'm sure is why diet books are so full of them." -from the home page. Forget what I wrote. kid

I like Jan's perspective-very Zen... It's a refreshing example of reverse corporate exploitation. In fact... I think advertisers of eve...

Hi folks: I love to cook, (even though I didn't list it among my profile interests), and I think, if it has not already been started, we should start posting some cooking ideas: Simple chicken: Buy a pre-cut whole chicken (on the bone) very cheap. My kb is 20kg. So I'll see how I feel in a few months-- then make the decision to jump to a 14 or a 16.... either way, a set of "gloves" is much much cheaper than a set of kettlebells!
