I'm glad you were able to enjoy Six Flags, and very glad No-S seems to be "clicking" for you! It's funny how fast we can retrain our mindset if we work at it.

I had a very moderate weekend, which was good, and then a a completely off day yesterday. I snacked three times! I was not binging, at least, and completely aware of my choices to be off No-S, but it was a slip back into distrusting its rules. I'm back today, and planning on three meals today. Have ...

Having a bad body image day today, which is messing with my head. I have, however, stayed green. Breakfast: leftover pasta casserole (funny, when you cook for only two, how many times you get to re-enjoy the same dish!) Lunch: Raisin Bran with milk (kind of did lunch and breakfast backward today) Su...

Thanks for the support, both of you! Yesterday was a failure, and was totally preventable. I got home from being out with friends and heated up some leftovers from Wednesday's dinner, a plateful, no problem. I had enough cornbread still for today's breakfast, and told myself to leave it alone. Well,...

Best of luck, KCCC, with finding new, healthier outlets for your stress. I can relate to the "shut-down" that can occur when too much stuff gets piled up. I think meditation could work wonders (or wine, if that fails!) :D

I can so much relate to the "yea, I'm free!" feeling once leaving WW. Even though I usually cook and eat in a fairly health-conscious manner anyway (reduced-fat ingredients, etc.), it's so nice to welcome cheese, beer, etc. back into your diet without feeling like a renegade or a failure. I too stru...

emd1212's No-S check-in

Hey, any and all readers! My name is Liz, and as an on-and-off again No-Ser (since January 2009), I'm committing to a daily check-in to help keep me on track. I've been bad in the past at sticking with HabitCal or a check-in, but planning to stick with it this time. I'm not somebody who needs to los...

Are you taking metformin? It sounds like it. I take metformin in the extended release formula, which is one dose once a day (with dinner). Talk to your doc about switching to this one; I have almost no side effects on the extended release version.

So, yesterday was a RED eating-wise. I was starving in the afternoon, most likely because my lunch wasn't quite big enough, and snacked (nearly binged) on two slices of cheese and then a bunch of raisins straight out of the container (a big canister, not a little box!) just before I cooked supper fo...

Since I know, deep down, that I need to get a little more structured wit my eating, I have come to an important realization. Well, had a glass ceiling slip-up at poker night last night. So, between that and drinking more than I have recently, I felt rough this morning. Serves me rig...

Thanks mama! You're right about using the word "failure." No matter what I call it, though, that red square on the Habitcal keeps me from doing a lot of things I shouldn't, which is paying off. Last night I was very tempted to go for a third beer after dinner, but decided I didn't want it bad enough...

I came to a conclusion this morning: I've really got to look out for little nibbles as I put together my plated meals; too often I've figured, "oh, this would fit on the plate anyway," but this is such a slippery slope. From now on, I'll have to count anything that I put in my mouth before it has be...

Welcome! Sounds like you did great for your first day. As far as the juices go, if you find that you're having difficulty losing weight, you might try cutting back on the juice (since it does add calories) and drink more water or unsweetened tea instead. Or, you could dilute your juice with some wat...

Keep up the effort! I know that, for me, adjusting to eating enough at breakfast and lunch was a challenge. I was used to eating small meals only to make up for it later with snacking. I also find late night hunger to be a problem sometimes; going to bed, if possible, is usually the best solution!

EMD's accountability check-in

Hey to everybody! I've been following No-S off and on since January, but am just now realizing that I really need to keep some kind of accountability besides HabitCal. I'm a 28 yr. old female, married for four years and owner of a yellow lab who is the sweetest creature alive. DH and I have been hop...
