LA Loser

Thanks for your reply many months ago. I left the land of the NOS dieters. You read me exactly right. I kept to the diet for 19 days, almost 3 weeks. On weekends I didn't eat that much extra, maybe 800 calories, but that's just an estimate. Then it would take me most of the next week to undo the dam...

Hi, I went to WW three times. Never lost anything more than 2 pounds and then gained them back, lost them, etc. I am only 5'3" and was only allowed 28 points this last time I was at WW the winter of 2008. I was always hungry. and finally left WW in January 2009 for good. I accidently found the Nos d...

Hi Therese Z

Wow - you lost 60 pounds on WW. That's amazing to me. I was doing that -counting points, just before I found the Nos diet. On WW I lost and gained the same two pounds over and over again. I like this much better. This is my 33rd day on the program. It really does get easier.

Hi Mistress Manners

Yep - any excuse for exercise works. Believe me I know. By the way I was born in NYC. Raised in Baltimore, MD. But I'm a Yankee fan for sure.

Hi Mistress Manners

I just read your post to Maggie. May I please make a suggestion? For lunch I mean. I'll tell you what I do. I go to the store - buy 5 or 6 low fat yogurts, bread, pnut butter and jam or oven roasted turkey, lettuce, miracle whip and sandwich bags and five pieces of fruit. One for each day. For days ...

Hi Maggie

I read the book too. I started this nos diet on June 18th, 2009. I've lost just 3 pounds so far. If I could not eat so much on the weekends, I think it would be a little more. So next weekend I'm going to be better and just have some snacks. This diet is not really a diet. It's so normal. Three meal...

Hi Berry and wosnes

Thank you for your encouragement. Today I ate more than I intended to, but I plan to do better tomorrow. I intend to stay on this diet for years and years. Unfortunately we are leaving on vacation on Monday for 9 days. We will probably go out to dinner everyday. I hope that I can use the habit of No...

Nos Diet believer

Hi I just want to say that I have been on the nos diet for 30 days and have lost 3 pounds. I know that would have been more if I hadn't gone wild on the weekends. This weekend I plan to be a little more conscious of my treats. I love this diet. It is so normal to eat three meals a day. And now I'm u...

LA Loser

Hi La Loser, Thanks for the encouragement. Prior to the nos diet, I was on a very strict calorie counting diet. Miserable. I love the nos diet. I will focus on the nons days during the week and not worry about S days. I trust your words that the S days will even out eventually. I'ts a little like I'...

Hi Reinhard, Sorry to say this, but I am still struggling with the "sometimes" S days. Last Saturday, just 18 days into the diet I reverted to my pre-nos diet permagrazing - permasnacking ways. It actually scared me as in What was I thinking? I was better on Sunday and yesterday, Monday, I was back ...

Reinhard,

I'm sorry. I have tried to call up a habitcal for myself, but I must be computer challenged. I don't see a "show" button and the "load" button is not lit.

Thanks and thanks again for the Nos Diet. I am only on my first 12 days of it, but I love it.

Hi Janie, I joined this discussion group on 6/29/09. I just started the NO S diet on June 18th after being on a very strict diet on which I lost and gained the same two pounds over and over. This diet is slow and sure losing. Why don't you give it a try. On a 9 inch plate, start off by loading it wi...

:) Hi, I just finished reading the NO S Book and started the diet on June 18, 2009. I've been through four S days, Saturdays and Sundays. I kind of permagrazed on those days. Scared about getting on the scale tomorrow. I have been good during the N days though. I hope this system works for me. I agr...
