Laura, Hope the interview went well. I find decision making on NoS so clear. Is it a sweet? a snack? a second? I don't have to think too hard. I am still on Spark People as I like the weekly weigh in. But NoS is the path I am on... it seems to suit my life, and seems it always will. I am not 100% an...

I'm going to keep my HabitCal up to date this month, and report here occasionally. I have been goofing off too much, and I like how I feel when I keep on a pretty strict NoS.

I do weigh everyday, or maybe every other day--but I only make note of it once in a while. I used to keep a rolling ten day average (google will do this, though I did it by hand), but now I can't be bothered. Sure, I like to see a new low number when I do weigh, but I don't freak if it goes the othe...

I did more exercise than I usually do; but I sometimes exercised for just a few minutes, not 14. I need to have more variety in what I do. Lots of wood stacking to do this month; that will help.

May choose a different habit to work on for October. De-cluttering, maybe--or painting daily.

I think 21 days without failure was the entry criteria. After "creating" it, I think there was some concern that it could anti-motivational, and I felt bad about that. Kevin. As a new comer, I think the 21 days club was an inspired creation. It made me try hard to get the basic vanilla No S plan do...

Grammy G, I found N days to be easy to adjust to, as once I gave up the evening wine, the urge to snack went with it. I have made sure that when I am hungry, I have a regular meal. I no longer count calories or steer clear of any foods, but don't over eat either. I guess not having cravings for swee...

Tonight I'm meeting my sisters for dinner and a concert (Tom Rush) so I am making today my S day and Sunday an N day. I don't always have S's on the weekend, it just depends on what's happening. This eating plan is so liberating that just the idea that I can have a treat is sometimes as good as havi...

Grammy G, I'm over 60, and a relative 'newbie' at NoS, a bit over a month now. I have discovered how I shall eat for the rest of my life. Already some bad habits are gone, the weight is slowly going, and I feel optimistic it shall continue, as it doesn't really feel like a weight loss diet, just a s...

Welcome!

I do think the whole idea of forging new habits relating to food spills over into other parts oF our lives, especially as we see we can make changes. Sounds like you are off to a good and thoughtful start!

Laura, I saw your note on the "21 day" thread, thanks. I figured out that it was you from the SP team. Have been meaning to mention my oldest son has just gone back to school-- for library science! You will get back to where you were before the 'cliff', I am sure. This way of eating has just about t...

I'd probably include most frosen entrees---(sorry the last letter of the alphabet is broken on my keyboard), but not frosen plain veggies. They are quite okay. Also some bottled salad dressings are high in sodium. For me, anything over 300-400 milligrams per serving I try to avoid. Canned soups unle...

My 21 days are completed as of today. I had some failures before I began the "1st" day as I was unable to not snack if I drank wine in the evening; so for three weeks now my glass ceiling has been two glasses, but only if I am out and about, not at home. Giving up the two glasses at home was easier ...

September is exercise month for me, at least 5 times a week. I've been doing the No S diet and the eating/drinking part is going fine, now to get moving. Sara, I am recently new to the NoS System, but I had been using index cards as a 'to-do' and 'don't forget' reminder. I like Reinhard's 'hierarchy'. I think of the main card, the yearly card, as a way to choose what I most want to work on. The monthly card sets up some priorities so that if I follow...
