I would try adding a small morning snack, but only temporarily. Just to allow your body to gradually adapt to your new eating habits. Something with some protein, like a little cheese on some Triscuits.

As I said, this would only be temporary. Perhaps for a month or two.

Give it time and be very patient with yourself. I recommend grapes as dessert.

Your taste buds will adjust and eventually you will find that your cravings just go away. I used to have a huge sweet tooth. Now, it's much more manageable.

I highly recommend "Skinny Thinking" by Laura Katleman-Prue. She doesn't give you any more rules or guidelines, but helps you deal with sabotaging thoughts. I've found that it meshes perfectly with "THe No S Diet."

That's what I do. It works for me. It took a bit of practice for me to get to stop after one small serving. But it's not an issue anymore. Sometimes I have a cookie, other times a scoop of ice cream, or a piece of chocolate.

(My mom was 5'6" and 125 lbs her whole adult life. While she ate different foods than you're grandma did, the amounts were pretty similar. For my mom it was no snacks, no junk and portion control.)

If it feels too hard, give yourself permission to have something sweet, but in the evenings only, and only as a temporary measure. If you're cutting out all sweets before supper, your sweet tooth will start to diminish. Eventually you will be able to cut out the after dinner sweet without pain.

My 1 mod is this, when I sit down to eat, I tell myself I can have 1 average/moderate helping of everything. I love the No S Diet, and follow it strictly, but I think portion sizes might be a loophole that could get people in trouble. No snacks, no sweets, no seconds - those are the rules that come ...
