Rea's back..and hopefully checking in
I'm not sure how active these boards still are (it's been 11 years since I last visited apparently!) but after trying somany other diets over the year, I'm returning to this one because the last time I reached my goal weight was...you guessed it: when I was no s-ing. So, it's Monday and I'm starting...

Ha Rea, I do a month before I usually relax. But I don't "stop" doing NoS, I just have red days. That's a good way of putting it. I usually throw in the towel completely though but hey I'm one week green again so go me! Rea, it's the brain pattern of the habit trying to assert itself. Yes, it can d...

I think my meals are extremely calorie-dense right now. I am consciously fearful of "being hungry", but I can see that in two weeks that's already improved a little. I think this is a common experience when you abandon old eating habits in favor of No S. I always afraid I'm going to be HUNGRY and D...

Processed foods were minimally consumed in the 1950s even though the magazines were filled with fabulous and oftentimes funny ads that would lead you believe otherwise But I think the 1950s had a much higher rate of processed food consumption than (say) the 1930s due to the industrialization of the...

Okay, minor complaint about this blog and the idea that she went on a "1950s diet" to lose weight. If you read it, you'll see that she also 1) cut out sugar for a whole year, 2) cut out all fake and processed foods (they ate a lot of processed foods in the 50s, such as margarine) and 3) went gluten ...
