I think this really depends on the person. Some people get filled up by protein, others carbs. Personally, I can eat a bowl of plain rice with soya sauce and be full for hours, no protein necessary.

Shovelglove is apparently pretty good - but my exercise of choice is martial arts. If you're at all interested I recommend looking up a dojo in your area, you can usually try a class for free :)

I started to lose inches in a month or so, but didn't actually lose any pounds until I added regular exercise to my routine.
ETA: My regular exercise is 2 hours of martial arts three days a week. I also walk a lot in general.

Remind yourself that everything is okay in moderation. That's the basis of No-S. Having pizza once in a while isn't going to make you gain weight. It's when you have it every other night that it becomes a problem.

Try not to keep them in the house, go out and buy something specifically indulgent on the weekend.

I use honey as a sweetener for drinks and such. The only reason I still use sugar in baking as honey drastically changes the texture, etc, and I'm not a good enough baker to experiment with that!
I once accidentally bought iced tea with aspartame in it and I had a sore stomach all day long.

I'm at my parents' and grandparents' house and this morning my Grandma said I looked a lot slimmer, though according to her scale I'm still 160 XD My stomach does feel a bit more muscle, bit less fat, and I know my thighs are slowly getting there. I think the amount of sleep we need varies from person to person - I feel really sluggish if I get more than 7, or less than 5. But somewhere between there is perfect. I don't know if this affects my eating or metabolism, just my energy levels.

I actually discovered No-S through the bento and Japanese cooking in general website/forum Just Bento/Just Hungry.
