If I don't want to get sleepy in the afternoon, a nice large salad with a chopped avocado or nut cheese and fresh ground pepper instead of dressing.

It sounds like you've thought through this and there's a lot of good advice above. I'll just give you my 2 cents. The coffee drinks are fine and even a good thing if you need them. Just avoid the sweetened extras and stick with a teasp or 2 of sugar, which you add yourself. I find a cafe au lait is ...

Easter proved to be more difficult for me than I had anticipated last year (I checked back!) it is more of a four-day feast than Xmas in some ways! Maybe it's because of being kind of the start of Spring too - and people being out in the street eating and stuff? I don't know. There's a holiday atmo...

Re: Not losing

Tuna and cucumber mayo on white bread and crisps chicken breast, pasta salad with mayo and cheese and salad I find not piling plates too high, combined with eating a fair amount of roasted (lower carb) veggies, fruit, and adding an extra salad here and there are good strategies. Rice and pasta are ...

Wednesday started well, with just breakfast and lunch. But when I was travelling on the train home I ate one lot of food at 5pm, then when I got home at 8pm, I 'needed' more to eat - so I had some oatcakes with Marmite on, then some nuts. It's quite a small FAIL but the evening eating could have be...

Probably not, if you just add a moderate amount. It's still not something that I would think of as a dessert item, and it probably has far less sugar than the commercial varieties.

Hanging here, mostly 3 meals per day, mostly avoiding sweets. The weight is not falling off, so maybe I need to pay attention to the "what" on my plates, but I haven't managed to bother too much. Perhaps there are worse things than being 20-30# overweight? It seems so for the present. I'm glad for a...

Re: New to No S and have a question

My husband is a truck driver and his days off are Wed and Th. I am considering making Wed and Th my "S" days, but worry that because they are not "officially" S days, that might lead to not following the program as well. I think it depends on personality to some extent. I would 100% go for the We/T...
