Just an opinion: may it's a good idea to replace the weights with sand (sandbag).
If you choose to, use a tire inner tube to keep the sand enclosed in.

1 week of training is not enough to decide on the food needs. Your body is still getting used to the exercise nap. For me just toast and milk after training. You should be aware that: 1 - The supplements market is not trusted to speak on food needs (all they want is sell) 2 - All the nutrients you n...

I'm no expert, but I will post my experience. I'm also the thin type of person. While in the gym, I started loosing weight when I added 10 min cardio to close the session, so I stoped and got back to "shape". I've mantained it with shovelglove and Urban Ranger (changed the subway for 20 min walk bet...

I forgot to mention those. Very good exercise.

I'm not a native english speaker, and I'm not sure of what a "engineer hammer" is.
I have 2x1,5Kg hammers to "warm up", mostly with "boxing" movements.
The body impact is different from "standard" shovelglove. Forearms are the more stressed muscles in the game, with little torso effort.
Hope it helps.

I agree with Kevin. I'm also the thin type of person. Altough I went thru judo and gym (with 33 years old) before landed in Shovelglove, I'm plus 18 lb now, and manage to keep it with shovelglove and Urban Ranger. The difference it's a more strong torso and forearms (the grip strength it's a plus). ...

It probably happened the same to him.

You can also add some pounds with wrist weights.
These are filled with sand. In my opinion its easier to use and safer in case they get loose, and have the benefit of padding the hammer surface.
