No real advice other than what you've mentioned.

We do Friday night pizza too. I've been working on only 2 slices and adding veggies (baby carrots), fruit (apple), or a salad in place of those extra slices.

So I'm FINALLY back under my starting weight! Starting weight was 208.0 lbs, but I gained initially. I went up to 212.8 lbs and stayed up there for a while. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't losing. After Christmas I started exercising more and in the past week or two, I've been reassessing my defi...

Welcome! I have a few newcomer tips: 1. Remember that the hardest part of this "diet" is upfront. I struggled my first week, others don't struggle until their 2nd or 3rd week because they get by on enthusiasm at first. But, it gets easier as it goes. 2. Remember that you can't starve to death in a f...

I agree about the failures. Mark them and move on. We all go through times of noncompliance. I'm doing well this month, but have had months with far more red than green. Thanks NoSnacker!!

I had a rough night last night and had to fight off the inner voice that kept saying "go eat something, one little snack won't hurt anything".

I felt bad not exercising, but feel good that I defeated the inner voice!

They say that ~80% of weight loss is by diet. You can't overcome a bad diet using exercise. That said, I know that when I exercise, I tend to eat better and feel better about myself. When I slack off on the exercising, my eating habits tend to slack off too and my self esteem takes a nose dive. It t...
