Great observation Dave!

I did the six meals a day for a few years, which worked fine when I was working out hard, but man did I burn out on having to think about 6 meals every day as opposed to 3 good ones. It's not very convenient in real life either.

Edit: I went to this website: http://nutritarian.com/ Pretty self-explanatory. Glad to see less emphasis on grains. If I ate 5-11 servings of grain a day I'd be waddling. Thank You, O43 Hey O43! I'm familiar with the "Eat Right America" site, but had never come across the link you found. That provi...

I'm only on Day 2 of the No S Diet, but I can already see I need to apply a mod as others have: Friday night is an S-evening. As I was going about my day I couldn't stop thinking about how challenging tonight was going to be considering it's usually the night we start enjoying some snacks later in t...

I've never tried the frozen banana ice cream. The ways I've heard to make it usually include mashing up the banana, then freezing it. Have you ever tried that way? Does it work? :) Have you ever tried frozen grapes? They have a wonderfully creamy consistency. I've used them in smoothies, but I thin...

Day 1: SUCCESS Last night for supper I had a seitan sausage (I used this recipe: http://vegandad.blogspot.com/2008/03/homemade-sausages.html ), in a homemade whole wheat bun. I topped it off with sauted onions and mustard. The other occupants of my plate were oven roasted sweet potatoes and steamed ...

New girl, happy to be here!

Hi all! My name is Heidi. Yesterday I was on SparkPeople (hadn't logged on in months) and happened to notice someone giving rave reviews of the No S Diet. I was curious, and then delighted with what I found! Four months ago I decided to adopt a plant-based diet for its health benefits and it's felt ...

Thanks osoniye! :D I do bake vegan, and occasionally non-vegan. I don't have a huge repertoire of vegan baking recipes yet because I was trying to avoid them because of the sugar, but now that I'm going to allow for them on s-days, I'll be hunting them down! I find most of my recipes online. I'll po...

Heidi's Check-In

Hi all. I just discovered Reinhard's No-S-Diet yesterday....freakin' brilliant!!! Today's my first official day. I don't need to lose weight necessarily, though I wouldn't mind losing about 5lbs because my jeans have gotten tighter lately. I generally eat very healthy (3 meals a day and don't eat af...
