I just can't believe that eating one strawberry from the garden is a crime. I think that eating mindfully is important, as is savoring life's little pleasures.

If you were growing gigantic cheesecakes in your garden, it might be a larger issue.

I would hate this.

I have a "hummingbird metabolism."

As it is, I eat four meals a day, mostly because I can't typically face breakfast so early in the morning, and generally only eat a piece of fruit or some bread.

If your joints are unhappy, perhaps you could swim, or do water-based exercises.

My partner is paralyzed from a spinal cord injury, but he swims for an hour at least twice a week.

A piece of afternoon fruit is not a crime.

I have fruit almost every day at 11am. Its part of my day.

Sunday was horrible. I went to a lovely party on a very posh San Francisco houseboat... and had a massive allergic reaction to a cup of eggnog. My throat and ears closed up. Monday was pretty bad, because of residual effects of the reaction and the medications. What the heck am I allergic to? Raw eg...

I don't like the dynamic where your husband benefits and you are punished if you fail to lose a certain amount if weight. This makes me deeply uncomfortable.

However, I don't know you or your family.

I am rarely hungry at breakfast time, but a few hours later I'm ready to gnaw my arms off. So I have "elevenses." I'll eat a few piece of fruit or some bread.

I only do this on work days.

We had a person in our knitting group who was lacking hands -- she had metal prosthetics -- and she knit on teeny tiny needles. So, if she could, you can too!

I admire you for starting this challenge. This takes commitment.

I probably will make Christmas cookies, because I really like making them for our neighbors. Baking at this time of year brings me a lot of joy, and remarkably, I really enjoy sharing more than eating.

That's a hard question to answer. I've always lived fresh food, and there's been a slow, slow change going on in my life, where I've moved away from highly processed foods. It helps that I live in a place with beautiful produce. Monday Breakfast -- latte Elevenses -- egg and cheese bagel, a few sips...
