Maybe it just sounds too simple? I haven't done this too long, but I did get very odd looks when I just had a glass of tea at a meeting and turned down the cookies.

I made it through last night by the skin of my teeth. It was the first night I've really been tempted. I drank a glass of tea and brushed my teeth to fight it off. I walked about 40 minutes in the morning. I was in a different town so tried their greenway. It was very nice but very hot. Today's plan...

Don't be too hard on yourself. Talk to yourself like you'd talk to a friend. And don't worry about being depressing, if we can't talk here where can we?

Well, it quit raining and I ended up with a bike ride and later a couple mile walk. They were slow though because it was 99 and humid. I stuck to the rules. My choices could probably be better but since this is real life and there is no way I'll cook two dinners forever why even start that. I receiv...

Here's an interesting question: why do traditionally male jobs (like construction) have very strictly observed meal breaks, while female jobs like yours don't? Unions? Men being more pushy, and sticking up for themselves? Women being afraid to make a fuss? It may be unions but I don't think it's th...

So they'll be spring chickens  Your plum jam looks delicious. I made black raspberry jelly last week. All those preserves taste awfully good on a gloomy February day.

Sounds like a good weekend. Camp is good. I took one of mine yesterday. Very quiet here without his 10yo posse but it's a good quiet.

Sunday was a pretty nice and slightly less busy day. We rode our bikes to church. I had a piece of blueberry pie with cream for lunch. I also had a vietnamese cold coffee while I drove my ds to camp. That took 3 hours of the afternoon. After dinner I rode bikes again with my little dds. It's very ho...

I think you had a great day. You had treats but not crazy amounts. I can testify that gardening is hard! As for the exercise ball, we have one that my 10yo ds mostly rolls, bounces and wallows on. Maybe we should all act like 10yos?

I totally agree that what works for some won't work for others. I think we're bombarded with so many messages we forget to listen to ourselves. I know that if I'm busy I don't eat. It's free time that is my enemy (and loading up on seconds  ). If I'm hungry and don't eat the feeling pretty muc...
