S days and snacking/seconds

I can understand why having days when one can have desserts. But I wonder, if we are breaking snacking and seconds habits whether we are better off maintaining a firm comittiment to no eating between meals and no seconds. Desserts on weekends and at special events is a sound exception. Curious what ...

The Deep Desire be able to eat Intuitively--A Dangerous oOne

I have struggled with weight and compulsive eating since I was about 10 year old--I am now 70. I've tried every kind of diet, all sorts of workshops, psychotherapy, meditation, Overeaters' Anonymous, Weight Watchers (on and off since 1967) and I even wrote a book about my experiences in OA and how I...

Sunday Beer and wine on the boat

Planned to follow the N day rather than S day since it was my first week. But out sailing with friends I had a glass of wine and then a beer at Fish. Other than those I ate one plate per meal, no seconds, no sweets, and no snacks. 8)

Re: WW lifetime member thinks this might be MAGIC

I am a lifetime WW member, and not overweight. However, I have been counting points, on and off, for the last 12 years, and just finished the No S diet book, and am on day 3 of this "diet". I have not counted points at all, and I cannot believe how freeing this has been. I know that I was only spen...

" I have started on it and it it turns out to be the answer to that side of the equation. I will shout it on the rooftops." I don't have all your experience, but close to it as a lay person, and I's so glad to hear you say this. OA used to preach three meals a day and life in between. It changed a ...

No S is like mindfulness meditation around food.

I am a mindfulness meditator and reading No S book I see so many parallels between working with the stuff that comes up on my mind on the cushion and the mental and behavioral habits that have kept me overweight for so many years. I know that mindfulness meditation has helped me maintain a 35 pound ...

So far so good

Sunday. Since this is the first week i have been following No S--started Wednesday I am wanting to plant the habits of the Normal Days and so I haven't had any S's this weekend. Ziggy's Daily Check in

Yesterday was Friday and I had three good meals, no snacks, no seconds, no sweets. Felt the craving for snacks last night while watching my recording of Mad Men. But I knew I could make it until breakfast. Helps to relate this to my meditation practice--sometimes I just want to get up and go do some...

I've been at the weight loss game for over 50 years

I started dieting when I was in high school back in the 1950's. I tried them all. I was a psychotherapist for over 40 years specializing in the field of compulsive overeating and other addictive habits. I wrote a book about my experiences in Overeaters' Anonymous and how I understood the 12 Steps as...

I'm curious. Did anyone sign up and get accepted? What's the process like? What sorts of info do you have to provide. Unless you have some sort of non-disclosure agreement, I'd love to hear the back story. I also applied and got that same huge package. Since I lost the weight years ago and didn't g...

Ziggy's No 3S and No 2P.

I added No Peanut Butter and no Pizza as I am more of a fats guy than a sugar addict. And I have no doubt that if I followed the No 3S and No 2P plan the rest would take care of itself. So this is day one. I will post and the end of the day. Oh and for anyone interested I am a vegan.
