Thanks to everyone for the ideas. I’ve also found it helpful to just keep an eye on calories until my new schedule sort of evens out. And, while it’s not in keeping with the rules here, an apple or an orange at 4:00 in the afternoon never made anyone fat. Thanks again!

Hanger or The Lunch-to-Dinner Stretch

This seems to have always been a popular topic here, and looking through old posts, I find that even posted advice on the matter back in 2013. I now find myself in need of advice. I started a new job about 2 months ago and have been trying to settle back into a No S routine after some off-and-on mon...

2019, etc.

I suppose there will be no shortage of us here over the next few days, promising ourselves and each other that we’ll be perfect No Sers in 2019. I’ve had success with it in the past but for a number of reasons, I haven’t been able to get it to stick again over the past few years. I am a dedica...

Does anyone else do this?

I have had success with No S before but over the past couple of years I've had some changes in my life that have led to my usually deciding to not eat breakfast. I feel fine doing this and usually make it to noon or 1:00 PM without eating a thing. The problem lately is that after lunch I find it mor...

Question about 21 days of No S

I've noticed several people here discussing their successes and failures doing 21 consecutive days of No S. I'm curious whether during the 21 days these people actually take S days, or is it truly 21 straight of days of no snacks, no sweets, no seconds. As noted in a recent post, I've been back on N...

Thanks! Yeah, Giada, it took me a while to build up to a full minute but I can usually handle it now. I just completed my first full week back on No S and it was a breeze. I know it isn't always so easy so I'm bracing myself for temptation, but for now it feels so good to be back. I'm also making su...

Return to No S, Habits, etc.

Hello again to all. It has been quite a while since my last post here but I decided to check back in and discuss what's going on, in hopes that it will bring about further success for myself and maybe a few others here. In previous posts I discussed my success with No S and Shovelglove, but exactly ...

I started No S and Shovelglove at around the same time back in the summer of 2012. I find that I like to find a great workout routine, do it for a week or two, then decide I need to change it up. I usually swing my hammer for 2 or 3 weeks consistently and then take a break and do burpees or some oth...

Back to a 10-pounder

I've never posted here in the shovelglove section, only over in No S, so I thought I'd share where I am and see what folks have to say. I started working out with a 10-lb. hammer in the summer of 2012 and absolutely loved it. I tend to get bored doing the same thing so I have taken breaks from the s...

The lunch-dinner stretch is what kept me from even trying No S for a long time. Last summer, my work schedule changed in such a way that it was almost impossible for me to snack in the afternoon, so I gave it a shot and it stuck. My schedule has largely returned to normal (I work at an outdoor educa...

First Check In

I'm checking in here for the first time ever, so I thought I'd give everyone a little background and then some data. I first experimented with No S in the summer of 2012 and had some success, but didn't stick to it. I also began working out with a Shovelglove around the same time. In the fall of 201...
