I do a Leslie Sansone one-mile walking tape first thing every morning - two miles on Saturdays. I do the walking on a minitramp because I have plantar fasciitis (getting better, thank God) and the trampoline has enabled me to get back to my walking, and it's fun! Little extra bounce to the ounce. Th...

Good thought, SpaceMom. Although what I seem to crave are crunchy, salty carbs, maybe what I really need is a good kick of protein. I'll give this a try next time I find my itchy little fingers sneaking toward that bag of chips.

I don't know that I'm as much a binge eater as a binge grazer. My hard spot is between the time I hit the door after work and dinner. We usually eat late (probably need to fix that but...another time), and I tend to pretty much graze constantly between whatever time I get home and whatever time I ea...

I'm with you, Kevin. I briefly meditated upon giving up my red wine and then decided, "Nah!" It's my little adult recess at the end of the day...and, after all, wine is just liquid fruit "w/ an attitude mellower," right?

I have also been thinking of putting my daily dose of the fruit of the vine on my S-list for precisely the same two reasons. So now I'm up to five S's: No seconds, snacks, sugar, sofa, and "sauce" (as in "Need to lay off the....") I have this sneaking suspicion that the fifth S is also going to take...

Panglesue--Here's another big thank-you for the puppy analogy--makes me smile at the same time that I'm being nailed big time. Your meals sound great - esp. lunch. I'm picking up some "good eats" ideas from your check-ins. Best wishes on your leg injury. Several of my students have had ACL tears this year (basketball for the most part), so I know second-hand what a bummer that can be. Don't push it too hard too fast. A coup...

I eat the same thing every day for breakfast and lunch with very few exceptions, so the only meal I really have to think about is the evening meal. For that I generally just think in terms of types of meals during the week (one chicken, one meatless, two fish, one pork or beef, one tomatoey, one sou...

I take "meal stuffing" to be just mindlessly stuffing your face with whatever comes within reach. I do it regularly - Get home from work, tired, famished, and just stand at the cooking island and stuff my mouth with whatever happens to be available. If carby, crunchy, and salty, all the better. No-S...

Friday night - Two pieces of frozen pizza doctored by the love of my life w/ mushrooms, green peppers, extra mozz. Then he asked me if I wanted to split a third piece with him, and, of course, while my brain was saying "no," my mouth was saying "yes" and "yummy." So - 2 1/2 pieces of pizza, no salad...
