I know what you mean. I think, why not have a small bite of something when food is what I'm really craving? But, I guess having a drink of something nutritious (though that's not usually my choice) will help us finally get out of the habit of snacking mindlessly.

MJ, Thank you so much for your post. I've been having the same thoughts lately. I used to be obsessed by the scale and put way too much stock into what is had to say. I agree with you about passing on the scale and that our clothes will tell us if we need to make changes. Thank you!

Thank you for your input on my plan Wosnes. I also like the idea of 1/2 plate being vegetables or vegetables/fruit, both of which I never eat enough of and I'm going to start doing that, at least for two meals each day.
