5:2 diet (not really a NoS question)

Hope it's ok to ask here. I have a question on the 5:2 diet and was thinking that perhaps someone here has tried it before. It's different to the NoS, basically you eat whatever you like for 5 days, and instead of two S days, you actually fast for two days (500 calories for women). Lots of positive ...

Thank you, I've unconsciously adopted the see food diet! I feel almost obligated to eat snacks or seconds because it's an S day. Like my body will be upset if I dont eat rubbish on the S day. I totally forgot about the make it yourself rule. Of course if I baked a cake or cookies, I would eat far le...

Re: Social situations don't allow ONE PHYSICAL BOWL!

I've been consistantly no-sing for almost 2 months (with a couple of fails), although I have made the 'no seconds' rule not always apply... or at least do a lot of 'virtual plating' and here is why: Eating out a lot (due to my work situation and having no fridge or microwave at work for lunch as we...

Also curious to know more about the S Day mods.

I am now about 11 weeks in, and haven't lost any weight. My S days are CRAZY and I usually suffer on Monday badly. I think I need to find a better balance on S days so that I ease into the week a little better.

Questions!

I'm very curious about this counting bites system. Does it not go against the idea of the No S Diet? Where you have an eating method that is extremely simple -just 3 plates a day. Isn't counting bites similar to counting calories, you start with a base and then shave it down? I'm just trying to reco...

Hi Simpless, happy to hear I'm not alone! I think a big part of the non weight loss is because I'm having too much fun with the treats on the weekends! Oolala, I didn't quite get your post, what do you mean by the less of an S-er? Sorry! I'm going to have to cut back on s days, but otherwise this is...

Thanks automatedeating (and Oolala!), really appreciate the encouragement. Also, thanks eschano, it's good to know it can be done, well done on your effort! Can I just ask what sort of exercise you did to get that result? I have upped my walking a lot, but I don't know if it's enough. I am limited i...

Thanks all, I have had an injury so I'm not able to go to the gym or play sports. However, I do walk a lot now. I've pretty much given up on the car or public transport. I also have about 20 pounds to lose. I haven't snucked in any additional servings during the week. You're right eveninglightwriter...

5 weeks in....and no weight loss

Well, this is my 5th week of No S. I have actually been pretty good with all green days during the week. I do enjoy myself on the S days and cut right back when Monday arrives. However, I haven't lost any weight. Is 5 weeks too soon to see any change? I think I just need someone to remind me that th...

Thanks everyone! Appreciate the time taken to reply. I guess it all boils down to trial and error. I never realised how difficult it is to let go and trust my body to tell me what it does and doesn't need.

Newbie questions - thanks in advance!

Hi there, I've got two (unrelated) questions that I hope someone can help me with. Sorry about the long post! 1) I usually enjoy a small cup of hot chocolate every night made out of 70% dark couverture chocolate and full fat milk. There is no sugar added and in the book it states that if a food item...

Eating out and meal courses

Hi, I'm very new to No S and was wondering how you manage eating out? My husband and I often dine out for his work and will have multiple meal courses (not including dessert). The portions are usually very small (we currently live in Asia), but obviously they don't all come on the one plate. How do ...
