I'm going to check out that YouTube chanel Six Miles to Supper. I've reduced the size of all my meals dramatically, and am managing 12-14hrs 'fasting' periods. I'm leaning towards two meals a day.

Re: automated eating tracker

One of the DOWNSIDES of eating healthier most of the time is that indulgences cause more overt discomfort. Although, I think in the past pizza has done this and I just didn't make the connection. I've experienced this. I once did raw vegan eating for about a year, then ate something cooked, and was...

Thank you for the good wishes everyone - it has surprised me to feel so very emotional about having a grandchild - I'm sure I shall cry when I see him! I still often get a little surge of desire to eat when I feel light-hearted. Food used to "puncuate" the day all day. Sounds like you might want to ...

This was evening meal redness - I had seconds, then I had frozen yoghurt, then I had some oatmeal cookies with my coffee. I'm so excited because I am going to go a...

Monday SUCCESS

I nearly failed (slightly) on Monday - someone gave me a heart-shaped shortbread biscuit at about 8pm. It was so cute - so emotionally-loaded! I took one small nibble of it - it was not good at all - I threw it away! Phew!

This was where I was at the end of March 2016 I've been following the No S diet for about 10 months now: this has regulated my weight (reducing it very slowly) and my appetite. What I am finding now is that when, at the weekend, I introduce baked goods, sweets, chocolate, cookies into my day - then ...

Well, how about that? I was the last person to post on this thread, over a year ago! I love all the podcasts, but this one is great for reinforcing the benefits of S days. I really hope that anyone who has problems with S days comes over to listen to this one again. I've stuck to Saturday/Sunday S d...

It was nice to have an S day after a 7-day stretch of work, and a 5k run this morning! I had a bar of hazelnut chocolate after my run (eaten on the bus journey home) - the cool thing was that the high nut content meant that the protein:carb ratio was 1:5 which was within the standard I've adopted fo...

Well said, Larkspur - I saw a talk on the internet somewhere recently which showed how 'slim people' had an area of their brain which lit up when they'd eaten enough; the same thing just did not happen in the brains of 'overweight people' - they just didn't seem to have the regulating mechanism that...

I've never been a binge eater - but I was what I call a 'chaotic' eater - and I certainly thought about food ALL the time and ate every 2 hrs or so.

I like the feeling of 'control' that No S gives me. And I like not thinking about food ALL the time!

Yes, the possibility of going back to old ways is ever-present; I feel I have to be quite emotionally and mentally strong to keep 'on habit'. Hiya! Keeping the habit of not snacking, not having seconds, not having sweets - this is a healthy way to live. Thursday FAILURE After a good day, I went and ate 100g dark chocolate in the evening whilst watching a DVD. I took a risk today and ate my lunch early - at 11.30am. It was OK - I lasted until dinner time at work at 6pm.

my lowish-carb meal was: butter beans in smoky tomato sauce; peanuts; soya yoghurt and berries.

I deserve a super-green today because I had to battle hard to keep the 'fence around the law'! But I did it - and that feels good!

This evening's low-carb meal was raw cauliflower with a peanut 'satay' style sauce/dip, and a pear.

Nice S days to start you off! Hi! Audrey - thanks! Monday FAILURE I was really tired this evening, long shift at work, haven't slept well for a couple of nights. You know what? You were right, it was an S day. Your S day eating will change over time. Have you planned what you're going to eat for your three meals on Monday? (actually, it's probably Monday already where you are!)
