Re: Elizabeth's Accountability Page

Thorough answer Auto. Thank you for answering! As for me, I bought the inexpensive "Reli On" monitor from Wally World. And I can buy a box of 100 strips for right at $18. I think I paid $9 for the monitor, itself. On a side note, I have screwed up my day already...went into binge mode and gggrrrrr.....

What is your favorite beverage between meals when you're feeling a little hungry?

I read somewhere to add a Tbsp. of heavy cream to your favorite soft drink to make a "float" when you're feeling hungry between meals. The fat in the cream will help you stay full. This sounded horrid to me, but I love diet Dr. Pepper and tried it...and loved it! What's your favorite go-to beverage ...

LOL on the green beans. Tell your husband that in the South you'll never hear, "Honey, do you think those green beans have cooked enough?" ;-) We cook ours to death (with a little pork meat and/or fat) and they are sweet and delicious! You made my mouth water talking about the onion with the pinto b...

Isn't it nice to eat eggs simply because you want to, and not because you have to?

Happy Birthday to your hubby!

I grew up on meat and potatoes..and living in the South, our vegetables are usually cooked in fattening casseroles. (Some may argue this, but that's been the case in my family.) There are very few "healthy" cooked vegetables I like. Let's see, there's green beans, broccoli (but with cheese sauce), r...

I had a great day yesterday, in that I didn't snack between meals. But I was in a rather sweet and snacky mood. I'm almost embarrassed by my food choices, but it is what it is. I'm going to start posting my food publicly. Maybe that will convince me to start incorporating those vegetables I keep pla...

****DINNER AT LEAST 4 HOURS AFTER LUNCH***** Allisonmeg, You're doing great with your eating, I think! I'm trying to get brave enough to post my foods. Maybe I'll get the courage up soon. I did read some reviews that said the author of "French Women Don't Get Fat" seemed quite condescending toward Americans. Others disagreed.
