Swimming is great exercise! I do it 3 times a week for an hour, usually. (When I'm at home) Otherwise I walk with my baby. I find it really good for taking my mind off things. It is great to think of exercise as more than just a way to lose weight. If I'm doing it because I like it, I'm more likely ...

Thanks for the well wishes! Thursday was a success . Unfortunately, Friday was a failure . I was offered cut up fruit outside of mealtime and I accepted. Knowing that i failed I had also a small second helping of tofu and green veggie. Was totally delicious, and obviously not a hideous failure. Need...

Day 4 was a success!

Portions felt more normal today. Had some lightheadedness between meals. Maybe the answer is more protein? I'm not sure.

. Tomorrow early morning I am leaving for a one month trip to China. I am excited and simultaneously nervous. (First time out of the country)

Automatedeating- Do you find it helpful to weigh almost daily? I used to do that and it worked for me. But I feel as if I became obsessed with that number. I can't figure out if it's better to be a little obsessive and see faster results or ditch the scale and focus most on developing habit. Maybe i...

Sillymonkey29 check in

Hi all, I am day 4 on the plan with 3 successes . I started Sunday. I was posting in general discussion by mistake. I am happy to be able to eat meals without worrying about how many calories are in the oil in my dish. It got to the point where I was about to ask my husband, who often cooks, to coun...

Thank you both! And I hope you had a great Mother's Day too! I hope I do set a good example for my child with normal habbis. I can't believe I have been doing this yo-yo dieting for so long and I hope to spare him from it. I had a good first N day. The amount of food on my plate looked like a lot,, ...

Before no s, I was a diet soda junkie. I'm trying now to make soda an s, because it makes me too hungry. Same for crystal light and other calorie free beverages I used to toss into my body. I drink coffee with cream and sugar in the morning. Water in between. Occasional milk, decaf coffee or tea in ...

Sillymonkey29 21 day challenge

Hi all, I am new. I arrived here because I am sick of the losing/gaining diet cycle. I have been a calorie accountant for nearly a decade now. I need a solution that I can maintain for life. Which involves socially acceptable food practices and not eating separate meals from my family. I am at a no...
