Hey Deb! Guess what? There's a coconut in my fruit bowl right now so I think I'll be trying that tomorrow for a laugh (after I've drilled 2 holes in it and drained out the coconut water, that is - Can you imagine the mess it'd make otherwise...? *chuckles*) Did 7 minutes today. I'm back to trying a ...

Day 2 Attempt D

Yesterday was a SUCCESS! This morning I did 7 minutes of SG cause my arms didn't even hurt after the 5 minutes yesterday. Hopefully I'm getting back on track OK now. Plus tomorrow is SATURDAY! Advance information (mainly note to self and to keep me honest about it all) - I'm making 19th August an S ...

It's perfectly OK to eat a junk meal every now and then, I reckon, as long as it's not all the time anyway. I had one BurgerKing meal in the last 4 weeks since I started doing NoS. I only had the smaller meal rather than a supersized one or one with those mega double/triple whopper burger things (I ...

Hi Kevin, Glad to hear that it's still going well for you. One day I hope I'll be able to join you doing just weekly checkins! *grin* Personally, I bent the rules slightly at the outset as I knew I would find it pretty tough to get through the afternoon blood-sugar wise, and I don't even have any me...

Thanks for the tip Reinhard. I'm sure that will make it much easier! I'll try it out next time.

I mostly eat out with my Husband, who is also trying to do no S so understands. Apart from that, I eat out at friends houses quite a bit too, or cook at home for company.

Day 1 Attempt D

Yesterday was day 1 of my 4th attempt. It was a total SUCCESS. This morning is going OK too so far - grilled Bacon and Tomatoes for breakfast (this is one of carolejo's soul foods). An intense but short 5 minute burst of Shovelglove whilst my bacon was cooking too. Not even really any funny stuff, a...

for me the biggest problem with Chinese food is a social one. We were a group of 6 from work (including my lovely boss) and we all picked a dish to put in the middle and share. Hi Deb,

Don't worry too much. I put all my weight that I lost back on during my 2 week holiday, but it's shifting already and I'm sure yours will too. It's idiotproof! Ultimately those good habits will reassert themselves and you'll get right back on track.

Back from my Hols.

I weighed myself this morning and I've not gotten appreciably heavier, despite eating my way across most of Europe. Sorry, it's probably slang English / southern dialect and I never realised before.

Flannel = Washcloth.

When you finished washing, twist it all up to squeeze out the water.

Hold on to it really tight and pull on it as hard as you can for 10 seconds.

hope that helps!

mmm. Maple syrup!!

Unfortunately as we don't have any maple trees in Blighty, it costs an absolute bomb to buy. We're talking 5 quid for 200ml (I've no idea what that is in your money, but a fair guess would be 5 dollars a fluid ounce!!)

Oh well. I'm sure I'll survive!
