I ate a lot today. Not epic, but a lot. I started with a half backsided breakfast, and went from there.
Got my Power of 10 in today. So did my wife. Good workouts for both of us.
See you all tomorrow.

I think, while either diet can work, it takes a very focused individual to do either. I'm not sure the case for moderation is taken with either approach and in his book Dr. McDougall writes that you can eat all the types of food he endorses, as much as you want, without repercussions. Although, I wo...

Diets, Dogma and being Uncivil
I have been absent for two months. Of all things, episode 686 arrived on my Facebook page this afternoon. I thought some might be interested in the Jimmy Moore podcast since Reinhard was interviewed a few years back. http://www.thelivinlowcarbshow.com/shownotes/ Enjoy the "banter" between Dr. McDoug...

Well, it's been awhile, but I'm wandering back. I have been doing DDP Yoga 3-4 days a week. I have been eating like poo. Time to settle down a bit with my food. I hope everyone is doing well.

Well I am back from Palm Springs. Tuesday was a 14 hour, 1000 mile drive home. (Not quite a thousand miles.) I must be getting old, I used to remember when drives like that were an adventure. Now it's tedious. I lost a couple of pounds down there, I did a lot of swimming and walked the golf course, ...

The pup is Klaus. We had one earlier last summer, Amadeus, but he ran through the invisible fence into the path of an oncoming car. Klaus doesn't do that. I had an epiphany this morning at 2 AM while I was sicker than a dog. The last week and a half, I have had a hard time not eating. I think when I...

You are all fine posting on my thread if you would like. Jonas if you are interested in DDPY they ship world wide. In fact the team ddp yoga has a German group. I have joined, but, the one and only post has been in German (who would have thought?), and my language skills have faded since college. My...

Fail I have eaten so much today I feel as if I should be ashamed. I am always embarrassed for Adam Richman when I see how much food he shoves in his pie hole, now I can be embarrassed for me. Well everyone have a good evening, apparently there is a storm warning for Eastern Idaho/Western Wyoming Sun...

I agree that it is miserable, and the results might be dubious (even though the efficacy, NIH aside, is hard to determine for humans due to our built in longevity), and even Walford warned about anorexia, it is still an interesting theory for me. Obviously No Sers don't restrict their energy intake ...

Walford, Reihard, and the World of Longevity
It seems that we often tunnel vision on a few diet genres here. Usually No S v. Low Carb, which might be just fine since some low carbers are pushier than network marketers who live down the road. Once in a while Dean Ornish comes up, I discovered John McDougall last week, and there has been talk of...

I don't remember drinking a Coke until I was 16 when I took a job at Burger King. Growing up it was Kool Aid, a glass, and milk. In the summers we were told to "get the heck out of the house..." No shirts, no sunscreen, and no shoes, (No we weren't pregnant...), at lunch time we had a sandwich and w...

I have seen several of those documentaries. Fat Head might be my favorite, but possibly Food Inc. Is the most important. But I can't forget Joe Cross helping that trucker from Iowa lose all that weight in Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. I enjoy documentaries as well. I really struggled with Super Size Me...

I hate to use the word intuitively, but I think most of us intuitively know what we should, or shouldn't be eating. I used to wonder why people could lose weight on Atkins, Ornish, et. al. But when you step back and look at them, they have many things in common, no sweets, sodas, etc. I would includ...
