S Day

Thank goodness. I didn't eat breakfast until 10 AM and I grazed most of the day. Dinner was eggs and bacon. Exercise was the DDP Diamond Cutter. Great workout.

Have a Happy Father's Day tomorrow.

For new folks, Welcome, One of the nice things about No S is the idea that it is flexible. I think, in my opinion, that a bowl of oatmeal (yuck) on a plate, with other items would be a plate. Sometimes I go with three meals a day, I may have a bowl of soup and a sandwich. I count it as one plate. Sa...

I was a sugar "addict" long before the low-fat admonitions. My older brother is a sweet freak and has always been slim, never followed any fad. But yeah, low fat didn't help. I think, while either diet can work, it takes a very focused individual to do either. I'm not sure the case for moderation is taken with either approach and in his book Dr. McDougall writes that you can eat all the types of food he endorses, as much as you want, without repercussions. Although, I wo...

Do what you want, if you are eating three meals a day, with a 3:00 PM snack, and losing weight, then hats off. I can't do that because a snack becomes a meal, or two.

Make the No S yours. Think of your 3:00 snack as a fourth meal.

Good luck.

Walford, Reihard, and the World of Longevity

It seems that we often tunnel vision on a few diet genres here. Usually No S v. Low Carb, which might be just fine since some low carbers are pushier than network marketers who live down the road. Once in a while Dean Ornish comes up, I discovered John McDougall last week, and there has been talk of...
