Tuesday and Wednesday both SUCCESS Today I got a gold star: firstly I went to an art viewing and had a glass of sparkling wine and did not take any of the very nibbly nibbles. Then I went to a cool cafe with my friend, and only had coffee - even when offered 'cake?' :D Wow, you DO get a gold star :-)

Looks like you've got a nice little long weekend planned, there, Merry! LOL, yes, happy cake day to me :-)! I ended up having a green day on Friday (which is usually an S day for me), so I did end up trading days and only adding in one extra S for the weekend! Great weekend with friends & family th...

I think you're on the right track with just recognizing the issue and restarting with shovel-glove. Good for you! I think you'll notice some positives when you get back to the No-S habits too. I've been such a slug lately myself, and I definitely need to get into better habits with exercising. We're...

It usually comes with a LOT of feeling overfull because we are so used to eating more just because something tastes good. If something tastes good, we should slow down and SAVOR it more, not eat more of it. This is such a big one--it's so ingrained for me to think the other way (and so many times I...

Yes, on HabitCal, you can choose STATS and load it for the month - and it gives you a percentage and a medal (if you've got one!). I'll bet it doesn't work for me because I do S days on Friday and Sunday--Reinhard says that throws of the percentage stats, so I bet it throws off the medals too. Anyw...

I'm sorry. It sounds like you have a lot of tough and stressful things going on right now. One thing that has helped me was to decide ahead of time how to deal with a plateau. I decided that I would wait 3 months before making any changes, and that then the changes would either be contents of plates...

Well, I only just started (again) today, but did have a teeny tiny little victory, in that I didn't have my usual mug of chocolate and vanilla ice cream after supper and before bedtime. I know, the stats are a bit complicated - I've experimented putting in one yellow, or one red to see what difference it makes. I used to think well, if I can't have the love, job, etc. that I want, then I"m just going to eat more. Yeah, I have often followed similar thought patterns. My weight is up 5 lbs. did I really eat *that* much in two days? Nah, no way did you accidentally eat an extra 17,500 calories in only two days! I say it's extra salt, water retention from travelling, unusual and/or extra food that your system hasn't gotten rid of yet, and maybe only one real pound...

I humbly urge you to write down a list of all the miseries you've experienced with your chaotic eating. Then also write what you believe will be the benefits and wisdom of more ordered eating. Read them both at calm moments EVERY DAY for three months. I'm serious. That was pivotal for me. I still h...

So funny! In the early days of NoS, I used to dream about it a lot. It was usually in the form of breaking the rules which was before I ever had a red day and found it very stressful. I guess it's normal when learning a new skill. I think it shows how important our new way of eating is to us. Glad ...
