I think most of us have been there off and on. You could maybe set a little goal of say, 1 week. That gives you 5 N days. Think short term. When you can successfully do that, then go for 21 to be in the 21 day club. Don't forget to take your S days. Freeze stuff on N days to eat on the S days. Don't...

I totally agree with you... I just didn't get that sentence. By the way, let us know how those extra days go because I'm interested in trying to do that too... I just don't know how I'll draw the line between a really special event and a sneaky cheat. My crazy mind can come up with a special event a...

Noni... I think that keeping things in the freezer helps, but I have more of a salt tooth and I can't fit all of these chip bags in the freezer. When I buy them I tell myself that I'm buying the corn chips for taco and nacho night and I won't snack on them. With potato chips, I tell myself that brat...

I copied this from my check-in: "Delayed gratification doesn't necessarily mean deprivation." I love that quote! Kathleen... I hope you see this. For me, eating is like opening up a can of worms, and I have trouble stopping and frequent the kitchen more often all day long. If I delay the opening of ...

Last night I weighed myself and felt so terribly frustrated with what it said. I seriously felt a panic-y feeling and wanted to dump my plan and do something new all together. Duh. So, this morning I weighed 4 pounds less than I did when I went to bed last night! Honestly. I know I have a water ret...

It's almost as if I have a disability and have to figure my way around it, like a person paralyzed below the waist who learns to drive with use of arms. I am accepting what I have tried to change and tried to change and tried to change and have failed, failed, failed. Again, nice visual for us! Thi...

I made the rule that I can't come to the computer to sit on my butt until I've exercised. The kids can't until they've put away their laundry, so I figured, it could stick in my head... I wonder why I just said that, because it hasn't stuck in their heads yet... I guess their rule stuck in my head.....

Kathleen and I seem to have similar thoughts and I always enjoy reading her check-in. She seems to voice exactly what I've been thinking off and on, over and over. I tweak and tweak and tweak. We are both headed in the right direction. Looking at her progress looks quite impressive. I guess mine do...
