I don't think anyone was suggesting you have fruit outside a meal. Just the opposite. No S can't make you follow its rules. If you want a dessert each day, no one can stop you. But it will have to be small and only you can keep to a small portion, if you eventually want to live sanely with food. But...

Maybe it's an advantage. Letting go of most or all processed foods can be slow or fast, but it's something many maintaining weight losers seem to do. Not that I'd wish Lyme Disease on anyone for that result.

There are many great things to eat left, right?

I suggest you just keep nodding and smiling, while secretly thinking you'll wait to see their results in two years- the time by which most people who've "gone on a diet" weigh more than when they started. 8) And you get to have what you want, besides sweets, at EVERY meal, though you may eventually ...

For those who think fasting between three meals is too much

I got curious about Greek Orthodox "fasting," which I think another member here toyed with at a time I couldn't even think about it, in some reading about the Mediterranean diet, the supposed "real" one, not the more widespread contemporary one. This will make Vanilla look like a piece of cake- on S...

What's the pie part?

Cheese is considered one of the ten most "addictive" foods, so you are not alone. And as time goes on and possibly your motivations change, even that may become easier to be moderate with.

No matter what, I hope you enjoy every bite!

I posit that if it isn't relatively easy, the motivations are not clear or the belief in the problem or remedy is shaky. I have to try not to guffaw when people say they want to be as healthy as possible. That would probably mean a much bigger change than most are willing to make. How about as healt...

It's been 2 years? Can't believe it! You are about on track for some wobbling and new adjustments to the regime. Two years is the minimum for decreasing chances of relapse, and five is better. It's pretty typical for people to go through phases of struggling again. The lucky/motivated? ones keep adj...

I think it depends on when or whether you're "ready." This is rarely brought on just to "lose weight." Concentrating on the ill effects you'd like to avoid is often very helpful, especially if they are real and not just trumped up. Many are those who made overnight turnarounds because they became co...

What's the difference between a chin up and a pull up? They both sound impressive. And yes, pull ups are harder, I'd say, for women at least, than not eating S's. I think it's easier to NOT do things than to do things. I've been able to NOT eat many times over the years but replacing the eating with...

Good thing I didn't buy, unless I had been smart enough to get out in a few weeks. But I probably wouldn't have just out of principle. I let my mutual funds do my dirty work for me.

Your attitude sounds good. Not too much drama about the failures. Rational reflection about what to do in the future. I think concentrating on the plates alone is a great strategy. The refinements will come later, esp. if it becomes very clear what you think the advantages are to make them. Sugar is...

I think if they hadn't found it was positively correlated, they wouldn't have included it. But the swap may be the explanation. I don't know if her work included many people who ate no animal flesh at all. They are exceptions in the world near and far. No Blue Zone regions are completely vegetarian.

Well, it's unlikely your weight gain is fat, if that makes a difference to you. The body doesn't usually react that fast to relatively slight variations in calorie increases. Glycogen has more water in it than fat does. And it sounds like the extras helped you either not obsess or eat even more. But...

creating tables

Is it possible by some trick to create a table in Word and transfer it to my thread, then be able to x mark boxes to keep track of certain foods eaten? I know, it's pretty involved for No S. I may just have to do it on one of my desktops, but got three devices now!
