Would you have bought stock?

Although I would normally say I wouldn't buy stock in WW, if I had had an idea that this would happen... I guess I could be investing in Phillip Morris. They've made money this year, too. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/oprah-weight-watchers-deal-secret-stay-jail-article-1.2408537 SO...

S days are ALWAYS available on weekends. The whole point is to have release valves IN CASE the pressure becomes too great. Some people slide right into moderation on weekends; some don't. But week after week of N days is the backbone. Welcome home! The 21 days is because of some habit theory that sa...

Nice to see you again, FF! I, too, was going along fine when I started to stumble, first on weekdays, then on my S day mods. I even forgot that I lived well with those mods for a couple of years, I think! Well, Roy Baumeister, the king of studying self-regulation said NEVER to assume that not being ...

The question was whether it's odd, and odd means very much out of the ordinary. I'd say that is odd by almost any standard of people who have any regular access to food. However, it's a moot point if he enjoys the routine and isn't suffering any ill effects. I don't think there is anything inherentl...

I love Indian food, too. Were the iced coffee drinks commercial ones?

I've sometimes felt I was gaining just because I have felt full more often. It hasn't been a reliable feeling for me. Sometimes I have gained and sometimes not! Ah, the mysterious body.

It's possible that Oprah might have to eat less and move more than is reasonable to ask to become cosmetic thin. She could be eating and moving moderately and still stay quite overweight since she was once so heavy- people who've lost weight take fewer calories to maintain than those who never did. ...

Hi, Girl! Yes, moderation must be in the eye of the beholder. How many hours will it take you to walk those 16 miles each day? If I'm a tourist, I try to get a few hours of walking in each day. Or doing day hikes . This sounds like it might be analogous to that. But I don't think I've done it so con...

I actually learned a lot about what kinds of meals were satisfying to me on WW, but all their talk of low -fat and sugar-free and all the "tricks" drove me nuts. I hear they are a lot less point-focused and more well-being focused now. But I won't be going to any meetings to find out.

I may just be insensitive, but I think there is often nor more rhyme and reason to that kind of eating overage, where you just go from one thing to another, than that our limbic system wire gets tripped and off we go, especially if we've done it before. Consider the option of possibly one really "full" meal per day. Give a lot of attention to how much better you feel between meals to compensate for some of the fun of eating more at more meals. Maybe you can think of the small slips as weaning yourself off WTH for now. When you feel more stable with small ones, you can aim to wean yourself off them, too. Intermittent reinforcement takes longer to overcome, but it's been shown to be effective in the long run. Comes from the concept of harm ...
