I so much prefer chewing my food and getting the pulp/fiber in my body. Not to be argumentative, but I would say the jury is actually out on juicing. This from the Mayo Clinic. http://www.mayoclinic.org/juicing/expert-answers/faq-20058020 and "Do large multi national epidemiological studies bear out...

Curious: what's the difference between a near-miss and a fail? Isn't it funny how you would probably never think these days to bring something sweet somewhere on an N day? So many other people take it for granted. I might be wrong but I just can't imagine a French office where there are all kinds of...

Jumping in. It's usually better for me to establish a bit of a streak and THEN start recording. I haven't found that "committing" ahead of time helps with exercise, which is the habit I'm most concerned with these days. I think I did a minimum vigor (Shovelglove-like) workout every N day this week a...

The body has its reactions for sure to what we eat and do. It's just not predictable on a day to day basis, I've found. Doesn't matter, if habits are our real goal. But it's also nice to have the trend work downward. if we are feeling good.

Not overly healthy. I have never sworn off junk food nor fast food, but I'm pretty sure my regular fare is a lot less processed than the average Jane's. It's just evolved. It's the mix and the volume that counts.

Doing great!

How long have you been at it, alice? Have you ever opted not to have the sweet (since it's not actually required on S days to have an S)?

step by step. Things will evolve. Try not to let the scale play too big a role.

Hi, emdutto. Sorry about your losses this year. I gently suggest you write a list of reasons you'd like to become a moderate eater permanently. Search down deep and see if there aren't ones that have little to do with actual weight loss. In the end, few people can be motivated enough hours of the da...

natj, I haven't read all your posts, but jumped down here after seeing some posts on not liking your job. I've had a very hard time as a public school teacher, not an ideal match at all, but I floundered until I was 40 and felt I had to commit to something to make some money. I started No S almost s...

So kind of you to write! Unfortunately, I've been through an anger management course. I was able to apply the techniques for awhile, but it's always a struggle. Unfortunately, once kids have a certain impression, they respond even to an even tone or reasonable request with resentment and I feel rubb...

I had many of them, many! And they can be incentive to be very moderate, if there is such a thing, on N days. N days become relief!

Fast between meals and enjoy every bite.
