Eventually, you are going to have to eat relatively low cal, but it will come as an outgrowth of the gaps between meals and adjustments along the way, if you are being true to yourself about what you really need to satisfy yourself. Hope it works out this time!

Okay, here is a bump up so anyone who feels vulnerable on weekends can check in and share at tough moments, if s/he chooses. I've had a grazing morning. I'm done now until a possible early dinner or an early nosh and late dinner. Will play it by ear with a visiting friend and a couple of options for...

That desire to use food to celebrate is very strong, but it's a very transient pleasure. The movie IS the celebration! I've heard it is pretty darn good.

That family dinner experience can become the norm. It is just a habit to pair overeating with celebration and gatherings. They really can be just as fun with a little more than enough or even just enough!

Hope you get/got to dinner!

I did great at the dance camp with regard to eating. I allowed myself to have dessert one night because it was someone's birthday and the head chef was making a big deal about the cake that would be served. It was terrible but for some reason, I guess I thought there wouldn't be another good one any...

It sounds like you were putting a lot of pressure on yourself to have this all worked out very soon. It takes about two years of implementing and keeping new eating habits to signal that a person is unlikely to regain weight. Give yourself time! You're just learning to play the game. Why should you ...

Hang in there. It will smooth out, I believe, if you are convinced there are no alternatives. I can't see what they would be. You can choose to eat whatever you want at your meals, which would allow you to eat the foods on any diet, if you want. Just can't have the silly snacks. Have 'em at a meal! ...

Selling No S isn't always easy? I think it's rarely easy. I think people don't trust themselves. They just can't believe they will stop wanting to eat so much without more specific limits. They are also used to the idea that if you get very hungry, you have to overeat at the next meal. I've done a l...

My first 90 days is over and I am starting a new one. I danced my @$ off at dance camp, so my fitness over the last few days was a given and my eating was great.

However, today is the beginning for me of my new round. I think that means Oct. 11 is my new end date.

You'll probably remember why you quit when you get to a similar point of frustation. This time, you'll be compelled to find a way to work around it within No S's parameters: is it as simple as it can be? Is it sustainable and dpes it not take short-term heroic effort? Chances are, it won't be far off.

I suggest you don't start mods yet. Three weeks is just getting going. Most people who eventually stay with it didn't use mods for a few months at least. You may think of that overeating behavior as a mistake but it is likely part of it. Paradoxical as it may seem, the sooner you drop the guilt over...

I have been thinking about this concept of excuses or reasons. Really, what is a good reason to eat? I used to have many more than I have now, and I use a lot of them on weekends, still.
