Well, I was tempted to have an extra slice of Italian Bread a friend brought over with the spaghetti tonight.

I resisted, but I think that sitting at the table chatting for a LONG time after the meal is done can induce feelings of wanting to nibble.

I ate slowly to try to offset that.

Solving the REAL Problem

I was thinking about strictness this morning as I was looking at the cinnamon buns set out for the students and I was getting my coffee before class. I realized I wasn't in the least tempted. I'd had a good breakfast and it wasn't an S-day, though it did get me wondering what would be really good fo...

If you're feeling ill, you need to adjust your meal size up, of course! If you're eating a minimum of 1500 calories a day, you'll need to break that up between 3 500 calories meals. If you've been nibbling, it's entirely possible you're not used to eating that much at a sitting. That doesn't help yo...

No S Glass Ceiling Exercise I'm teaching all week this week. This means I'm on my feet for about five to six hours and bouncing around the classroom trying to keep people interested in whatever computer application I'm teaching at the time (usually some MS Office deal). We Americans can be complete jerks when it comes to moralizing through legislation. We're an intense and immoderate people, and make some nutty collective decisions often.

vmelo: Yes, it does. I didn't learn it from learning about drinking water, but from learning about how to care for fish and making bread. If you let water stand, it's safe to put fish in. If you let water stand, the chlorine evaporates and won't interfere with yeast rising for good bread. Not scient...

No-S Glass Ceiling Exercise I'm packing my gym bag to hit the pool tomorrow morning. I don't care if it's a loser workout or not, only that I do a workout. Inconsistent Schedules and No-S

For the most part, my daily schedule is pretty set, at least in terms of meals. I have breakfast sometime between 7:30 and 8:00 most mornings, lunch ~12:30 and dinner around 18:00. Today is an N day, but I'm travelling to meet some friends. I'm having a larger than usual breakfast and a late lunch, ...

Thanks Reinhard. I've been weighing every day and plotting a moving average curve. I don't have enough data to know for sure, but it is looking more and more like a fluke. I'm with ya on the "real food" thing, wosnes!

I don't make a real, conscious choice to eat low fat, but I eat so many real fruits and veggies, whole grains and unprocessed food that I do NOT sweat a slice of cheese or real eggs for breakfast if I want them.
