I don't think it's a big secret that I'm against all fake foods. I'm not sure about stevia and agave.

It was the men on the high protein diet who ate three meals a day that felt fuller in the evening and late at night, plus they were less preoccupied with thoughts of food Physically, the main reason eating just three meals a day helps people lose weight is because it's easier to keep track of eatin...

The good thing about The Biggest Loser: it shows people with large amounts of weight to lose that it can be done. The bad thing about The Biggest Loser: what they do to lose weight (the diet and the huge amounts of time devoted to exercise) is impossible for the overwhelming majority of people. Eati...

The article mentioned a low-calorie, high protein diet. One thing I've found is that fat is essential for satisfaction. I'm not saying go crazy with it, but some at each meal seems to aid in satisfaction and keeps the need for eating between meals at a minimum. One thing I've noticed is that people ...

Another number to ignore: clothing sizes.

My neighbor is 2 inches taller than me and over 50 pounds heavier (though she is losing weight). Just recently she told me she was going to have to buy new clothes in a smaller size -- which was smaller than I wear! Clothing size means nothing.

I have two suggestions. One is to make sure you eat enough at meals. You don't want to be stuffed afterwards, but you do want enough to enable you to last until the next meal. Second, make sure you eat plenty of the things that help to keep you feeling satisfied: fiber, fats and protein.

Most people don't need snacks -- we need three meals daily. Part of the rationale is that we aren't active enough to warrant the extra calories. If we do need to snack, it should be 150-200 calories. Link to the piece . Having said that -- and this sounds silly -- we also need to make sure we consum...
