I think that people want to think that in order to lose weight you HAVE to do something very restrictive and deprive yourself of the good stuff.

Favorite Cookbooks (and other recipe sources)

In the post about Other Good Diet Books That Work With The No S Diet, Reinhard wrote the following: I think I'm going to stick with this . :-) Although I'm rather fond of this , too. Reinhard So now that we know his favorite cookbooks, I wonder what everyone else's are. Mine are: 1. The Barefoot Con...

I've thought about buying a potato cutter, too! Some friends own a cafe and they have a wall mounted one for making pomme frites -- which they serve with their homemade spicy ketchup or rosemary-garlic aioli. Here's the French fry recipe I found. I'm going to try it sometime soon. It doesn't make to...

This isn't a diet book, but there are diet books that have recommended it as a guideline. http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2009/oct/28/plating-method-good-way-lose-weight/ It's probably too limited for some No S-ers to start with, but it's my guideline for lunch and dinner, with a piece of fruit tucked...

Another good article from Zen Habits . While I like his ideas, Leo's actual meal plan doesn't appeal to me at all. I do follow a meal plan that I stumbled onto about 10 years ago. It's simple and makes sense to me and I've found a number of variations of it. Plus, I have default plans in case I can'...
