As I understand it they are saying your BMI aka weight goes up either way if you eat fatty/highly caloric food.

So either way you will gain weight. However, if you eat it as a snack rather than as part of the meal your liver will get fatty and you'll have more belly-fat.

coming unstuck around Easter and my birthday seemed so, I dunno, so last year , Lol ironchef, I know exactly what you mean! Especially, after a 3 day weekend that was kind of idiotic on my part haha. I'm glad that your husbands granddad is getting better. And very sorry about his grandmother. Thank...

Wow you all, I am overwhelmed by all the lovely and supportive comments! In the end you all reminded me how powerful vanilla NoS is and that I don't need another S day during the week. Vanilla NoS it is for now. Oolala, wise as always! Also, thank you for Linda for reminding me of your experience. I...

Hi Oohlala, Thank you very much for your advice! I will take it to heart. The S that gets me the most is sweets but I reached my goal weight and thought I could relax a bit but now I'm not sure so I thought I would try out mimi's extra S event during the week but then I got afraid it would involve i...

Yummy, coconut cream as a substitute, that sounds amazing. I have no problem with milk but I'll definitely try that one!

Well, if Chris sent you a lovely email back, just apologize and say thanks for the pointers :)

Thanks auto & eschano! You all have been so supportive even when you could have easily done the "I told you so" dance. Don't kid yourself: we are learning as much from your thread as you do! I couldn't have said "told you so" as I didn't have a clue that it wouldn't work for you. Some mods work for...

Hi Dandelion, I saw that you wrote this on auto's thread but didn't want to hijack her thread with my response: I'm so tired of the mess :( I don't have a cleaning system as we have a fortnightly cleaner who does all the hard work (yep, best £40 per month spent ever, although it required giving up ...

Hi all, I think Mimi's plan sounds great but I believe I first have to get to have two or three S events per S day before implementing the one or two floating S events per week :) Auto, you are right. I also made the wrong deduction by assuming only 2 NWS days are allowed but the way you said it mak...

Ah, Mimi, I just saw that you already pre-empted me and replied on my thread. Thank you so much! This makes complete sense now. I will strive to have one or two S events per S day and when I can do that then it will be time to relax to another S event in the week :) Thanks for bringing clarity for w...

2) You don't want to be too perfect on your green N days, or when you do eventually fail, it will be harder to get back on track. (This is the logic of the part of me that wants to eat all of the time!) Lol! That is the funniest thing I've heard. Just brilliant! 1) You've been sick, it's okay to ha...

Hmmm. So oolala, I think it was you who suggested that drinking lots of water enlargens your stomach, which, I would deduct from that it leads to more hunger? Have you thought about training your stomach a little bigger by drinking more water (as you said you drink very little) so that you'll be mor...

Lol! Funny how your dr caught herself. Well done on her part thought because any other thing to say wouldn't have been great. Think your decision to make Vanilla NoS your ultimate fall back and also try to go for sugar sounds great. Do you only go after refined sugar or also fruit and honey etc? (Ju...

Hi Mimi, I am sure I have already read the answer for this somewhere in your blog before but just to clarify: Do you still take S days as well (as having an S event on Saturday and one on Sunday) or just random but limited S events? Thank you for your caution. I am a bit nervous about it so I'm not ...

Oh, well done for coming up with a solution for your candy problem. I know what you mean with fun size. It's like snacking for me - way too easy to lie to myself about how much I ate. One 100g bar chocolate is harder to reason away. Also, great LAM! I have to say, my voice has changed tone for the m...

Oh poor her! I hope this route works for you! My former dog (RIP) had ligament surgery and unfortunately never fully recovered. I think we walked him too fast and too much but the Vet recommended it. Usually, the dogs know best themselves.

Great that you stuck to NoS anyways.

Well done biggirllosesweight! Two weeks is brilliant. I had lots of reds at the beginning :) I agree, clarinetgal, it's important to know what non-food crap we eat. I still eat some processes stuff but mostly try to buy it organic and the UK, thankfully, is much stricter on this but I am not kidding...

Hi Herbsgirl, I understand how like the Pavlovian dog your bites can become unconscious if something vibrates. You can become conditioned to take a bite unconsciously whenever you feel something vibrating. That would work. Counting, however, can't be unconscious as this is not how our brain works It...

Mmmh, yummy food Linda!

I too like the idea of the extra S days. I think I naturally do that when I'm burnt out I have a fail and then I get right back to it. It might be worth considering adding that mod as I'm looking for something else now that I'm maintaining.

Great plan Jill! I agree with Auto. I think do it like Reinhard suggests: one habit per monthly or in your case 6 weekly challenge and after 6 weeks add another habit until all of them are in place. I think auto had a lot of success with her systems because she added them one after the other (obviou...
