Yes, I had a week of heavy plating last week (pizzas, burgers, all kinds of super dense food) and maintained. Don't worry about it. Next week will be light (I couldn't see a single dense food anymore so had super light foods naturally this week so far).

If I were you I would probably start with one kind of starch for a couple of weeks that you know is easy to digest. Flying in the face of all dietician's advice every: White Basmati Rice is the easiest to digest for me. Wholemeal is so much harder! I would suggest you use easy to digest vs. healthy ...

Yep, so I've proven it once again to myself: if I'm sticking to Vanilla NoS I'm still losing weight. Slowly but steadily. It's when I'm stretching the limits (extremely dense plates filled to the brim, unhealthy junk food for a whole week) or have a kind of red week that I maintain (!!!). Yesterday:...

I'm doing Friday - Sunday (sleeping time) and am still losing weight. It depends. But Fridays for me are not mental. It's just a shared dessert when I'm out or something smallish.

Some people have hot chocolate and don't count it. Personally, I think of all chocolate as dessert even the 80% I sometimes indulge in but whatever works. If it really doesn't taste sweet go for it but if it tastes sweet it will be much harder to train your tastebuds to stay away from sweets. I thin...

Well done!

I think there's nothing wrong with tracking and recording as long as you don't get upset when there's a fluctuation. Also, I think once your habits are unconscious that obsession will die down.

Your husband is a darling and how fun that NoS is a diet where McDonalds is not a problem from time to time :)

If you freeze a banana do you freeze it in it's skin or peel first (yep, see, still a beginner after all, haha).

Thank you so much you all! You rock girls! Cooking has become my main creative outlet. Although, I don't do it that often. I only cook about twice a week but loving it. Welcome back! Looking forward to reading your thread. Don't worry about S days. I used to have a real problem with binge eating. I'm about 1 1/3 years in now and binging isn't a thing anymore. However, it took about a year for my S days to calm down. The key for me was to never punish myself or be h...

If you are still losing 2 pounds in 2 weeks and your sweets are reigned in through NoS than I think you have absolutely nothing to fear. NoS will definitely get you there. I wouldn't try any mods yet. In what I have read on these boards very few people have sustainably maintained their weight loss w...

Hi Niki, It looks to me like you are already in a healthy weight range. So losing on NoS for you will be a very long process. You might or might not reach your target weight, depending on how strict you are on N days and how soon your S days calm down. However, I'm with germanherman on that crash di...

Thanks a lot for posting a link to the book Linda. I'll check it out! While I do agree I also feel a lot healthier since I'm on NoS and have hit my healthy BMI. My natural set-point isn't overweight as I had to do a lot of snacking to keep it up. But it will never be in the lower categories either a...

Lovely weekend ironchef! I completely agree with you on Ss. It's ok when they are baked by someone else I know but the store-bought stuff doesn't do it for me.

Your cake sounds yummy. Any chance you'd share your recipe? (unless it's a family secret of course)

Great LAM!

Be careful not to overly limit your S days. If this is only your second S weekend you're running the risk to restrict prematurely. If you need a wild S weekend - give yourself one at the beginning.

I completely agree with MJ. And NoS makes it much easier to forgive ourselves as instead of having a limited amount of weeks/months to reach a fixed weight we have a life-long behaviour that can absorb some slip-ups.
