I know Imogen. It’s so irksome. Well I weighed myself and was up a couple of pounds. I’m trying not to focus on my weight so much but ugh I feel like I’ve been in the 160s forever. I almost just want to fast till I see a 150 anything but I’m sure my family would start to worry if I didn’t ...

Glad to see you’re still staying the course Merry! Giving up sugar in your coffee is awesome! Now you won’t be spiking your insulin between meals. It’s crazy what we think we can’t give up till we can. I used to drink a venti mocha every single day, sometimes two. Now I drink plain herbal te...

Glad you’re okay! S days can be frustrating but they do make it easier to get through N days because you know you’re just delaying sweets and snacks and not cutting them out of your life forever. For most people the S days calm down after awhile. If they don’t you can always add some structure...

Had a good weekend in LA but feel a bit bloated from too many sweets and too much wine. I was kind of annoyed because nobody even commented on my weight loss. Everyone was focused on my newly skinny sil who recently became a vegan. She a bit defensive about the whole thing too. I asked her and her h...

And for some ppl a NoS lifestyle is enoigh to get them to a healthy weight. Unfortunately not for me but it was the beginning of this journey fo...

Hi auto I am a shorty (5'3") but I also tend to have a lot of muscle and I'm broad shouldered so I don't look good when I'm too skinny. I remember in college I was about 115 lbs for a brief period and my head looked way too big for my body. Anyway my goal weight is 135 or a size 6. A lot of ppl doin...

Thanks Heather! We drove to Los Angeles today and I knew I couldn't handle eating fast food so we got some sandwiches and snacks for the drive. So much more enjoyable than Taco Bell. It's funny how particular one gets when eating only one meal a day. I'm really proud of DH for sticking to IF. I wasn...

Hi Octavia! IF is really interesting stuff. I don't know much about hypoglycemia but Dr Fung does say that ppl that have it will need to be careful when Fasting. He recommends listening to your body and it will tell you if you need to eat something (for those ppl). I know skipping meals sounds daunt...

Oolala, did you read the Obesity Code? The science is spot on imo. The thing about not snacking is because the constant snacking is what causes insulin resistance which in turn cause obesity and diabetes. Are bodies are designed to handle periods of fasting. There’s nothing harmful about it. He do...

Some people eat 500 calories on their fasting days and eat normally the other days. That would be too hard for me though. I rather just fast for a bit every day.

I love to see that more of us are getting into fasting. I think it may be a natural progression for many of us. In Obesity Code by Jason Fung, he talks about how getting away from the three meals a day w/ no snacks and occasional dessert is what got us in this mess in the first place. Reinhard defin...

Hi Kathleen! I hope I'm not out of line saying this but just wanted to mention that most people find a 7 hour window too long to really lose much weight. Your body probably needs more time in the fasting state to get into ketosis. I know mine does. A 5 hr window is a good place to start but some peo...

IF is terrific but definitely not a quick fix. It can take some time before you switch to fat burning mode. Have you been posting on the FB group at all? Everyone there is so supportive.

I changed my window to 2 hrs and seems to be helping a lot.

You can do this!
