I think it's great to just write it down and move forward. We all have those rough patches but eventually get back on course and the weight will get back on track too. Yep, that simple.

Enjoy your weekend because that's part of doing NoS too!

Thank you Sonya! So sweet of you to say. 💕💕 Jack: yes, I love my crock-pot. I found a way to simplify my meals and still keep them healthy. One of my favorite food bloggers/cookbook writers, SkinnyTaste, posts her weekly menu every Sunday. She also cooks for four people so I think I'...

Oh how I wish I could spend a day lounging in bed. Much better than eating all day--great job!

Hi jack! Yeah, no coffee doesn't seem so bad as long as I can keep my tea. I'm lucky to have a good friend for sure. I like the idea of doing a very small amount of exercise and going from there. I love biking and have this fantasy of doing a 100 mile ride not this year but the next. I should probab...

Yesterday I felt awful all day but am finally starting to feel better. Pretty sure it's stress that caused my reflux to act up this time. I really need to figure how to handle stress better. I know what I need to do mainly make time for exercise/yoga/meditation etc but I just can't seem to figure ho...

Yep, the saying around here is "mark it and move on". Take what insights you can from it but no need to dwell. The stark contrast from a normal nos day to those days when I stray are usually enough to get me back on track. It just feels so much better to eat in a balanced way. Have a great week and ...

Hi jack-thanks for stopping by! I thought the no coffee would be harder for me as the daily coffee ritual is a huge part of my day. Luckily I've seamlessly traded coffee for chai and green tea and I really don't miss it yet. The alcohol will be harder for me. It's fine at home but when we go out I r...

Looks like you're continuing to do well with great insight to the one or two little blips you've had. It does seem easier to put on the brakes with NoS doesn't it? I think it's because there's a a structure in place for everything and mess ups are expected and considered normal not something forbidd...

Thanks Jack! You're right for sure. I'm just not going to worry about it. I guess the burn out comes from the feeling that as great as NoS is, it's still someone else's plan. I need to feel like I own it and it's customized to me to continue on enthusiastically. This is of course after a couple year...

Thanks iron! The next couple of months are going to be crazy. Next month is my birthday, my girls and our dogs. Oh and of course there's Mother's Day. It's hard to let go of wanting to be thinner but it is possible to make it less important to you. It used to be the thing I wanted most. Now it's probably 20th or so on the list. Just comes with age and having kids etc. I think but it'll happen.

Don't worry about the month. Just take it day by day. Maybe it's just me but I find the monthly challenges discouraging. Like 1 red messes everything up so what's the point. I don't know, just doesn't work from me but maybe I'm just a perfectionist.

My biggest eating trigger is right after people leave my house after some sort of gathering. It's fun to be with friends but it's still a bit of work to have to be "on" the whole time and I tend to grab food as a way to release the tension from that. Also, I'm always processing (analyzing) conversat...
