Sorry about the anxiety auto. I think you've told me you've had success with therapy in the past. Maybe that could be an option again? I know food has become so many things to us. Isn't it lovely how NoS tends to put it back in its normal place? Important but not all important.
Btw, I don't agree with all his ideas but I thought this post was interesting: http://www.fathead-movie.com/index.php/ ... te-vegans/

Oh gosh Hal I so relate to your friend situation. Ugh it's so hard to cut ties with certain ppl i.e. Neghbors but do your best to slowly distance yourself from her. Life is too short to spend time with ppl that drag you down. Heck, I rather be alone! My friend situation is so complicated and I don't...

Thanks red! I'm a little jealous of all your cruising. My DH will not do the cruise thing. I don't drink enough water normally so this is good advice for me in general. And yeah oolala no burgers for me but I may eat some fish at dinner time. Otherwise will try to stick to the vegan thing as much as...

Wb Farmerhal and thank you for stopping by my thread. It's so nice to feel like someone gets you. My dogs are so special to me and such a huge part of our family life so I understand how truly painful losing a dog is. You really do need to go through a mourning process which can take awhile so defin...

Oh yes that's me! All 100% true. The other day I realized that in all this time I never wrote a NoS Amazon review which is crazy considering how much time I spend both on Amazon as well as this board. One of these days I'll get around to writing my testimonial on here but seems pretty redundant I gu...

Big fat tax refund check coming my way--woot! So relieved that is done. Now I have to focus on getting ready for my trip. A lot to do tomorrow but not too overwhelming. I got the house ready for the house sitters, did all the laundry, and even cleaned out the frig. I can't wait to just do nothing bu...

I hear ya on wanting to eat during a calmer time. It's so much more enjoyable. I wake up at 6, empty the dishwasher, make lunches and breakfast for everyone, take the kids to school, and then come home to walk the dogs. It's about 8:30 by that time but that's when I choose to have breakfast. When th...

I don't have a soda habit but a strong mocha latte addiction. When I first started NoS I just stuck to nonfat, no-whip mochas. The thought of giving them up was just too much so I didn't and sometimes even drank 2/day. Eventually I felt ready to switch to the sugar-free version but I probably won't ...

Thx queenie. Today was much better. I got everything ready for my tax appt tomorrow and feel a lot better just facing it and having everything organized. Last year we ended up owing so I'm really worried that'll happen again. But going through everything I realized he made an unusually high amount t...

I agree Merry you will need a different kind of plan. I would just keep to normal N & S days with special days such as holidays as exception. In other words vanilla NoS even with family. Otherwise it's just a slippery slope. Easier said than done I know! Oolala, no my family nor dhs family will pres...

Re: Tex Ark Check In
Time to get back to the No S habit. I need to do this before I try something stupid to get off the excess poundage! Good for you. We've all done the try something stupid only to gain weight and come crawling back. (For me it was intuitive eating). As far as S days do what will work for you. I got t...

Big fat red day...not sure why but it's been awhile since I had a full on red day. Pms? Stress? Curiosity? Who knows but it I surprised myself by being overwhelmed with guilt about it. I guess I just really don't want to go back to my former chaotic style of eating. I was just thinking how nice it w...

How do you handle vacations?
It's been awhile since I went on vacation for longer than a few days but next week we're going to Hawaii for a whole week and I'm not sure how to handle my N days. Just wondering if anyone had some suggestions or advice on what's worked for them. I think I'll allow some fruity cocktails but not sure...

Yes I think that the hope is that the N day habits will carry over to S your S days so, if that's happening to you, it's a positive sign! A lot of us, including me, have the opposite problem of permasnacking all day. It's not very fun after awhile and I've had to implement some structure. So I'd say...
